Air Transport Supervisor

Role:

• Supervising aviation transportation of passengers and materials with fixed and rotary wing, both
onshore and offshore.
• Supervising aviation services contractors to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations.

Main Responsibilities:

• Operating control to ensure personnel authorized to travel are the only ones booked.
• Reviewing records of all flights including details of:
o Sectors flown.
o Numbers of passengers and/or weight of freight by sector.
o Flying hours.
o Aircraft availability (delays and the causes).
o Operational occurrences, incidents, and accidents.
• Confirming the numbers of Senior Executives or key personnel carried on a single flight fall within
the Company’s guidelines (if applicable).
• Setting up periodical (e.g.monthly) meeting with the operator to discuss any operational or interface
problem.
• Monitoring to ensure prevailing weather conditions in the area of operations are taken in
consideration when planning flights and the final air transport customer is aware that
notwithstanding the importance of completing the flight this cannot prevail against weather
conditions and other factors, which are of absolute competence to the commander for accepting the
plan and executing the flight.
• Monitoring utilization of flight crew to ensure that only those pilots currently accepted are employed
and assigned to flights on behalf of the Company; the monitoring also should include compliance
with applicable crew/duty time limitations.
• Tracking status of navigation aids, weather observation equipment, fuel systems, rescue and
firefighting, and other supplied support equipment.

Air Transport Supervisor

• Performing additional tasks, as required by the nature, specificities, and operational requirements
of the Company.
• Where airfield/airstrip(s) or heliports/helideck(s) are included within the scope of the air service
projects, Aviation Operations Supervisor duties should include the supervision and control of:
o air-ground communication.
o Fire/rescue support.
o Provision of fuel.
o Airfield/airstrip/heliport management/preparation.
o Passenger check in/out.
o Raising manifests/weighing passengers and freight.
o Control of security.
o Organization of Customs/immigration as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Higher Education ideally as Professional Pilot or Aviation Maintenance Technician.

• 5 years of Oil & Gas Industry experience.
• 5 years of helicopter experience - Pilot or Aviation Maintenance Technician (preferred).

Competencies:

• Familiarity with Oil & Gas operations.

• Clear understanding of Aviation and Airport activities, including: airplane and helicopter operation,
flight planning, check-in and dispatching process, air performances monitoring.
• Familiarity with industry standard Safety Policies and Procedures.

HSEQ Requirements:

• Complying with requirements of Safety, Health and Environmental laws of the Country.

Air Transport Supervisor

• Complying with Company Policy on Safety, Health and Environment and aim at achieving the
Company's HSE strategic objectives.
• Practicing Company's HSE Management System.
• Providing safe and healthy conditions of work to the staff personnel and control over their compliance
with safe and labor protection rules and regulations.
• Ensuring all contractors are competent and fully knowledgeable of HSEQ procedures.
• Supervising preparation of the risk register and the relevant mitigation strategy to address identified
uncertainties and managing the risks.
• Supervising and coordinating execution of project activities and identify and adopt correct HSE
precautions according to Company's standards, local norms and legislations and ensuring that the
highest HSE standards are maintained throughout the project.
• Ensuring compliance of logistic operations to all the relevant HSE procedures. Define operational
and technical risks connected to logistics.
