Scalar Quantities
Scalar quantity is defined as the physical quantity with magnitude and no direction.
These quantities can be described just by their numerical value (with their respective
units) without directions (they don’t have any direction). The addition of physical
quantities follows the simple rules of the algebra. Here, only their magnitudes are added.
NEGATIVE OF A VECTOR
The negative of a vector is define as another
vector having the same magnitude but
having an opposite direction
EQUAL VECTORS
Two vectors are equal if they have the same direction and same magnitude.
COLLINEAR VECTORS
The vectors which either act along the same
line or along parallel lines are called collinear
vectors
COPLANAR VECTORS
The vectors which act in the same plane are called coplanar vectors.
