Resincoat HB Epoxy Factory Floor Paint Technical Data Sheet

Surface Preparation
Two coats on most surfaces will produce a tough, high gloss nish. Surfaces of higher than normal porosity may require further coats.
Concrete should be a minimum of 21 days old and/or the residual moisture content shall be below 6%. Ensure that the concrete is clean and free
from dust, laitance, grease, oil, curing compound, existing paint nishes, etc. Blow holes and defective concrete shall be made good using a
proprietary repair compound, e.g. EP Mortar. A relevant Primer should be used especially with new concrete and oil stained concrete.
Blockwork should be sealed using an Epoxy Primer. Suitable mechanical treatment, such as vacuum grit - blasting, is the preferred treatment prior
to application, as this ensures a mechanical “key” for the coating. Steel surfaces shall be shot blasted or grit blasted to a nominal Sa 2.5 Swedish
standard. All dust and grease shall be removed prior to coating application. If a delay is likely to occur between blasting and application, then it is
recommended that a coat of Steel prime be applied as holding primer to obviate ash rusting.

Application
The mixed unit should be applied immediately by roller or brush with a consistent method. Floor areas should be cross-rolled to ensure even
application and to minimise roller marks. Move down the oor and repeat the process until complete. If coating a large area, you may require a
second pair of hands. After a minimum of 14 hours and before a maximum of 24 hours, subsequent coats should be applied. A typical system would
be 1 coat of relevant Primer and 2 coats of high build. In this case after the primer has been applied, the rst coat of HB should be applied no longer
than 24 hours after the primer has cured or is dry to touch. Similarly, the 2nd coat of HB should be applied no longer than 24 hours after HB coat 1
has cured. Our HB Epoxy Resin range of paints are not UV Stable, if UV Stability is required please apply a coat of Resincoat Chemically Resistant
UVR Paint.

Coverage
A 5 kg pack is su cient to coat 17 -20m² in a single coat, 2 coats provide an overall d.f.t. of 425 - 500 microns. Coverage cannot be guaranteed due
to vastly different surfaces.

Storage & Limitations

Store in dry conditions at temperatures between 10°C and 25°C. Do not expose to freezing conditions. Do not apply to wet or uncured concrete
surfaces. Do not apply at temperatures of 7°C or below.
