New Business Registration under Skim Pendaftaran Perniagaan Percuma (SPPP) Suruhanjaya

Syarikat Malaysia (SSM) for B40 Group Entrepreneur and Full-Time IPT Student

1. Effective 4 February 2021, B40 Entrepreneurs and Public/Private Higher Education Institutions
(IPTA/IPTS) Students who wish to register their business with the Companies Commission of
Malaysia (SSM) under Registration of Businesses Act 1956 (ROBA 1956) will be exempted from any
fees. This scheme is implemented until the allocation of this SPPP grant is used up.

2. This SSM Skim Pendaftaran Perniagaan Percuma (SPPP) has been improved to help more B40
Entrepreneurs who have been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

3. This SPPP is given for a period of one year (one time application only) throughout the
implementation period of this scheme. Renewals and branches (if any) will be charged as usual.

4. Exemption of business registration fee are as follows:

(a) A sole proprietorship business uses its own name as on the identity card (Personal Name)
– RM 30 per year;

(b) A sole proprietorship or partnership business (partners are part of the group category
eligible to apply for this scheme) using Trade Name – RM 60 per year

(c) Business Information – RM 10.

5. The eligible category for this application are as follows:

(a) Entrepreneur B40 Group Category:

(i) Citizens aged 18 and above according to business registration requirements;

(ii) Receiver/Spouse of any government special aid from MOF/LHDN who received Bantuan
Prihatin Rakyat (BPN 2.0), Bantuan Prihatin Rakyat (BPR), Bantuan Keluarga Malaysia
(BKM), Skim Perlindungan kesihatan takaful (mySalam) and other incentives.; and

(iii) No record of a business entity that is still active in SSM.

(b) Full-Time IPT Student Category:

(i) Citizens aged 18 and above according to business registration requirements;

(ii) Full-time studies/courses at any IPTA/IPTS/Polytechnic/College/Institute of Skills /Center
of skills in the country; and
(iii) No record of a business entity that is still active in SSM.

6. Applicants can choose to register a sole proprietorship or partnership business (partners must
consist of the 2 specified categories only) as stated in point 5.

7. Applicants can submit their application via online at ezbiz.ssm.com.my. Applicants must be
