In the event of a flood at Kahayagan Elementary School, the Incident Command
System (ICS) ensures efficient coordination and response. The Incident Command Post
is established at the School Head's Office, with the Staging Area located at the School
Gate and the Base set up at the School Covered Court. Under the leadership of Incident
Commander Mary Ann G. Apura, who also serves as the SDRRM Coordinator for
DEPED, roles are clearly defined. Public Information Officer Jorgina R. Sereño handles
communication and safety matters, while Liaison Officer Jonalyn R. Hinakay manages
communication with external agencies. Safety Officer Nazareth C. Isa-Al oversees
health-related concerns, and Operations Section Chief Charity C. Dujale heads search
and rescue efforts. Planning is led by Planning Section Chief Lorna T. Sandigan, and
Logistics Section Chief May P. Melano manages supplies. Finance and administrative
matters are overseen by Jaymar D. Fernandez, ensuring a well-coordinated response to
safeguard the school community during flood incidents.
