The Branch Business Operations section is seeking a highly professional and motivated Business Support
Officer to join our team. The position is located within the Electromagnetic Warfare and Intelligence
Systems Branch Executive and you will be responsible for a wide range of business activities including task
coordination and management, commercial support, corporate reporting, workforce management, budget
management activities and a wide variety of business planning and improvement initiatives.

As the Business Support Officer you will be relied upon to support four diverse business units including the
executive and will need to possess strong stakeholder engagement, excellent verbal and written
communication skills and attention to detail. You will interpret and provide advice within the administration
function based on legislation, policy and procedures. Under limited direction, you will undertake research
and analysis, conduct reviews, assessments and provide administrative support to achieve results.

 The ability to interpret and apply relevant legislation, policy and procedures

business outcomes

 Excellent communication and customer engagement skills;

 The desire to actively participate in team work and group activities.

The right person for this role will show the flexibility to respond to the changing context and shifting
priorities of the Defence environment to achieve business outcomes. In this role you will provide support to
a geographically dispersed team to ensure they are sensitive to Defence strategic direction and to excel,
while exercising a degree of independence.

The Electromagnetic Warfare and Intelligence Systems Branch under Joint Systems Division is an exciting
and complex environment, offering a rewarding career in one of the most dynamic organisations within
CASG. We deliver joint capability and work primarily on three areas: electronic protection, electronic
support and electronic attack and seeks to be recognised and respected as a centre of expertise and global
leader delivering and supporting capability solutions in the EWIS and Active Electronically Scanned Array
radar domains.

The Branch Business Operations unit supports the Assistant Secretary Electromagnetic Warfare and
Intelligence Systems, senior Managers and Systems Program Offices to meet their corporate and
