1. Description of techniques
(Please refer to “Technological Flow Chart”)

Our representative technology” four-washing, three-crushing” reflects the most advanced
technology for producing refined salt through crushing in china.
The four washing is as follows:
 First Screw washing
 Second screw washing
 Stand-up stirring washing
 Countercurrent washing
Three-crushing is as follows:
 First crushing
 Wet crushing
 Dry crushing
The combination of wet crushing, dry crushing and different ways of washing has greatly
improved the salt quality.
The above operation is subject to adaptation according to the users’ different requirements due
to the use of crude salt of different quality
The following is the technical procedure of our typical ‘four-washing, three-crushing’
technology.
1.1 Washing and crushing
 Crude salt is put into feed hopper by forklift. On the feed hopper there is a barrier that can
separate the big block salts from the smaller ones. A vibrator installed on the side of the
hopper makes the salt supply easier.
 Under the feed hopper is the quantitative Screw Conveyor, whose speed can be changed
to control the system’s production capacity.
 Crude salt is transported to the rubber belt conveyor by the quantitative Screw Conveyor.
Big foreign materials are removed by workers on both sides of the rubber belt conveyor.
 The rubber belt conveyor transports crude salt to first screw washer for washing
 After first washing, the crude salt comes into the opposite roller Pulverizer installed on the
outlet of screw salt washer for crushing.
 After first crushing, the crude salt is put into second screw washer for “second washing”.
 The crude salt enters second opposite roller Pulverizer for further crushing. By this time
most of the crude salt has had required granularity.
 The stand-up stirring washer washes the crude salt one more time.
 The salt liquid is pumped into a thickener installed above
 The thickened salt liquid comes into a countercurrent washer for fourth washing. Inside
the countercurrent washer, the clean brine pours down while the thickened salt liquid goes
up. The mixture of the two liquids in the movement makes the washing complete and
effective. The salt liquid condenses on the bottom of the washer and is discharged from
the bottom of the countercurrent washer. That brings to the end the whole washing
process.


1.2 Dehydration and desiccation
 Salt liquid in pumped into the hydraulic cyclone on the top of the centrifuge by the Salt
liquid pump that is installed in the geosynclines on the bottom of the countercurrent
washer.
 The salt liquid is then thickened by the hydraulic cyclone.
 The thickened salt liquid enters the centrifuge for dehydration.
 After dehydration, the crude salt is transported by screw conveyor to the fluidized-bed
dryer for drying. The fluidized-bed dryer consists of a drying section and a cooling section.
Cooling the salt makes packaging much easier. Salt comes out of the exit of the
fluidized-bed dryer after drying and cooling.
1.3 Filtration and packaging
 Dry salt is transported by screw conveyor into the feed hopper of rotary sieve for sieving.
 Then the undersize salt of the required standard is transported to the quantitative
packaging machine to be measured, packaged and sealed.
 The oversize salt is discharged through the sieve outlet and is transported by screw
conveyor to the third opposite roller Pulverizer for final crushing.
 The crushed salt is returned back to be sieved until salt granularity reaches the required
standard.
1.4 Hot air system
 The hot air sent to the fluidized-bed dryer is provided by the Blast Furnace
 The air is produced by burning fuels.
 A blower is used to transmit the hot air.
 The exhaust air is emitted into air. .
1.5 Waste
 The air from the exit of fluidized-bed contains some salt, which is recycled and returned to
the sieving system through the exit of fluidized-bed dryer.
 The exhaust air from the hydraulic cyclone is led out of the workshop by a induced draft fan,
which is emitted into air after being further processed by a wet dust extractor.
1.6 The disposal of washing liquid
All the washing liquid flows into Inclined Plate Settler and the recycled salt powder is pumped
into the original system; the overflow liquor is transported into the clarifier.

2. Equipment
2.1 General principles

This proposal gives a description of the equipment and materials supplied by Genyond
Machinery industrial Co., Ltd. For improvement of production, we reserve the right to change the
specifications in the final design. We will keep our users informed of any change.
The size and weight of the equipment conforms to our design drawings and the equipment is
designed, produced and tested in accordance with relevant standards of the People’s Republic of
China.
2.2 Equipment
 Feed hopper: The main part of the feed hopper is made of stainless steel and the plank is
made of carbon steel. It is suitable for small forklifts. There is a barrier on the top and
vibrator on the inner side.
 The quantitative screw conveyor: It is installed under the feed hopper with a speed control
electric motor, which controls the whole system’s production capacity. The parts which salt
contacts are made of stainless steel and the rest are made of carbon steel.
 Rubber belt conveyor: It has the suitable width, length and speed. The stainless steel
protection boards on both sides prevent salt from piling too high and make it easier for
workers to pick out foreign materials. The other components are made of carbon steel
with magnet and electromotive roller.
 Screw salt washer: (two sets，one is for first washing, the other is for second washing). It is
installed aslant with spray device in the front and an overflow gate on the rear part. The
parts which salt contacts are made of stainless steel and the rest are made of carbon
steel.
 Opposite roller Pulverizer（three or four sets, for first crushing, further crushing and final
crushing）:It consists of two crushing rollers、shell body、gearing、adjusting device、
electromotor and so on. There are flutes on the rollers, and the rollers cut or extrude
reversely. The rollers are made of alloy of high quality. The parts which salt contacts are
made of stainless steel and the rest are made of carbon steel.
 The stand up stirring salt washer ： It is installed vertically with electromotor and
deceleration device，on the top there is an overflow circle for sewage. The parts which salt
contacts are made of stainless steel and the rest are made of carbon steel.
 Salt liquid thickener：The parts which salt contacts are made of stainless steel and the
supporting structure is made of carbon steel. Valves are installed at the exit.
 Salt liquid Pump（three sets of different models）：It consists of a pump, impellers, a plank,
and an electromotor and it is used for transporting salt liquid.
 Pump for cleaning brine: It consists of a pump, impellers, a plank and an electromotor.
 Countercurrent washer: The main part is made of stainless steel and the plank is made of
carbon steel. There is an exit for salt liquid at the bottom and an entrance for clean brine in
the middle. There is also an overflow circle at the top.
 Inclined plate settler: It is made of stainless steel. The inclined board is made of
engineering plastic.
 Over ground pot：The parts which salt contacts are made of stainless steel and the rest
are made of carbon steel. A mixer is installed on it.

 The hydraulic cyclone: The parts which salt contacts are made of stainless steel and the
supporting structure is made of carbon steel. There are valves at the exit.
 The centrifuge: It is used for dehydration. The parts which salt contacts are made of
stainless steel and the rest are made of carbon steel.
 Screw conveyor (many): It has solid screw structure. The parts which salt contacts are
made of stainless steel and the rest are made of carbon steel.
 Iodine adding machine：It is made of stainless steel.
 Fluidized-bed dryer ： There are two kinds: fixed fluidized-bed dryer or vibrating
fluidized-bed dryer. The parts which salt contacts are made of stainless steel and the rest
are made of carbon steel.
 Rotary sieve: The inclined sieve makes the salt move down smoothly. The sieve-mesh is
of different intensities. There is an exit at the outer side and outlet for oversize salt at the
top of the sieve.
 Quantitative packaging machine: The parts which salt contacts are made of stainless steel
and the rest are made of carbon steel. Measuring, packaging and sealing are finished
here with the accuracy of ±0.5%.
 Blast Furnace: It is a patent of Genyond Machinery industrial Co., Ltd.. The high
temperature part is made of stainless steel and the rest parts are made of carbon steel.
 Blower: It is made of carbon steel.
 Cyclone separator: The parts which salt contacts are made of stainless steel and the rest
are made of carbon steel. A mixer is installed on it.
 Induced draft fan: It is made of carbon steel.
 Hydraulic dust extractor：It is made of carbon steel.
 The fuel supporting system of Blast Furnace: It is subject to the kind of fuel to be used.
 The technical pipelines: Pipelines of different materials are available for different purposes.
The pipelines are of standard length and they are truncated on site and linked with flange.
The huge technical pipelines manufactured upon order and are assembled on site.
 Valve group：Different types of valves are available. The main parts of them are made of
stainless steel, plastics or carbon steel.
 Electric equipment group: It excludes the high voltage part. We provide electrical
equipment and electric motor control for the whole set of equipment. Mainly they are
electricity cabinet, cables for conducting electricity, control cables, locale switches, cable
slots, fittings and so on.
2.3 Components
The components are delivered together with the equipment to insure the ceaseless operation
of the factory. Genyond Machinery industrial Co., Ltd. will provide the detailed specifications of the
equipment and components upon the users’ agreement within six months after the contract comes
into effect. The cost of the components for 4,000 hours’ operation is included in the business terms.

The production capacity of complete equipment ranges 20 tons of refined salt per hour

Product quality is conforms to GB5461—2000 national standard of People’s Republic of China.
3.3 Consumption of raw materials
Under the condition of normal operation and normal production capacity, the consumption of
raw materials per ton product is as follows:
Crude salt : around 1150～1200kg /ton
Water: around 90～150 L/ton
Electric power: around 25～30 kWh /ton
Fuel: around 13kg/ton
3.4 Requirements of raw materials
The raw materials to be used must satisfy the following requirements.
A. Crude salt (specification from one of our customers just for reference)
Specification： lake salt, sea salt, rock salt …….
Content of sodium chloride： Above 97%
Water component: around 3～4%
Maximum granularity： 15mm
Average granularity： 5～6mm
B. Water
Specification： drinking water、well water or saliferous water
