CARAGA REGION (CHED)

 Cause of dropouts among learners in Caraga Region and Intervention the

concerned agency has conducted or implemented to address the problem on

dropout.

 Causes of dropout

1. Lack of Interest

2. Family income not sufficient to send child to school

 Interventions to address the problem on dropout:

1. Encourage teachers to apply teaching methodologies that awaken the interest

of the students. Since lack of interest is one of the factors that leads students

to dropout in school.

2. The government (CHED) should develop financial assistance like offering

scholarships, and grants that alleviates poverty or financial burdens so that

families would be able to send their child to school and students will not be

forced to look for work.

3. The CHED must provide also academic support programs by providing

tutoring, study skills workshop and peer mentoring to help students to

improved academic performance.
