MED 24409 EHS Field Placement Site Selection Process

Step 1: Students visit LEO to review the Site Selection Tool for available field placement
agencies and research center sites.
Step 2: Students will select two sites from the list that they are interested in.
Step 3: Students will access and submit the "pre-registration" form on LEO.
Step 4: The course director reaches out to students to discuss the placement process,
answer any questions, or concerns they may have, assist with interview preparation; and
facilitate direct communication with the selected agency.
Step 6: Interviews may be scheduled between the agency and the student.
Step 7: One week after the interview, the course director follows up with the student to
discuss the next steps involved in starting the field placement.
Step 8: All students are required to attend an in-person orientation session scheduled
before the start of the field placement. The Field Placement Educational Plan will be
reviewed and discussed during this time. The specific date for the orientation will be
announced.

Note: Some sites may not require an interview. Some sites require additional
information, such as medical clearance (typically for hospital settings) or background
checks (typically for school settings).

For additional questions or concerns please email your course director, Mr. Tobias
