At the end of the lesson, the students are expected to:
A. define different types of adverbs
B. Identify the different types of adverbs;
B. Write the sentences with appropriates adverbs;
C. Demonstrate teamwork and responsibility towards learning.

C. DISCUSSION

After formulation of the lesson which is all about


adverb. The teacher post sentences on the board and
the students read and analyze the following sentences
which will lead them to the definition of the adverb.

Adverb of manner answers the how question which
tells the way action is done.

Example: The family boarded the bus happily.

way.

Adverb of Manner – describes how an action is


performed. (HOW)

Ex. She rans quickly.


He spoke slowly.

Adverb of frequency – tells how often an action


happens. (Gaano Kadalas)

Ex. I often play basketball on weekends.


Sometimes I like to watch movies.

Adverb of place – tells us where the action an action


happened.

Ex. Here is my pen.


I looked everywhere for my keys.

Adverb of time - tells when an action was happened.


Answers the when questions which denotes time.

Ex. My younger sister’s birthday is on July.

Adverb of degree – answers the question to what extent


the action is done.

APPLICATION
Group game: group the class into four. Each group will
complete each sentence using different types of
adverbs. The group who answers all the sentences in
the faster way will win the game. Choose the answers
inside the box. The title of the game is “Caring our
senses”.

our views about certain topics. There are opinion- marking signals that we may use to
introduce ideas; there are also signals to conclude them.
