− Remarks when using cassette one and two Figure 2/page 3
If the media placed in (one of) the two cassette(s) is slightly larger than it should be, please adjust the position of the
Front Cursor Deck to fit the right size.

Background
In terms of specification, the tolerance of paper dimension should be within ±1mm lengthwise and crosswise (based
on Japanese Industrial Standards). Within the limits, performance evaluation of the machine has been made and
no particular problems are expected. However, various sorts of paper used in the field might have a dimensional
variation. In such cases, if the paper is slightly longer than expected, the force applied by the paper and Cushion
Cassette might increase too much. This will result in a possible failure to feed paper.

− Periodic maintenance (Applying grease to fixing drive gear) Figure 1/page 2

To prevent Fixing drive gear from being worn out, apply grease (M014000080) to exterior of Fixing drive gear, p/n:
P014000080, by following the procedure as displayed below (every 500.000 copies).

Procedures for applying grease

1) Remove the back cover and the electrical components cover.
2) Pull off both connection cables between the DP (at upper rear of the machine) and main PCB.
3) Remove two screws on the right and left side of the electrical unit. (Open either the right or the left side of the
unit to be able to access drive unit).
4) Make sure the gear tooth surface can be seen from the Ø20 hole of ‘fixing drive unit’ plate (located to the right of
the toner disposal pipe (1*)). Apply grease to the exterior of ‘fixing drive unit’.

(1*) In case of doing this to old plate with no Ø20 hole, remove fixing drive unit and take out <FIXING DRIVE
GEAR>,and apply grease up.

− Remarks when setting up machine (Placing LABEL VFEED CAUTION)

When the specified language is not English, please order the following ‘Label vfeed caution 6nations’ which
is corresponding each language and select the one meeting that spec and put it on ‘Label vfeed caution’ (p/n:
2FB05380)

When performing ‘center adjustment’ in DP section, please note that the procedure is different depending on the serial
number of the machine (after a certain serial number, slight changer were made to the DP section on the machine).
