Exam: Abdominal Scan ABDOMINAL SCAN REPORT

LIVER: The liver is normal in size measuring 11.63cm in its span with homogenous
parenchymal echopattern. No collection, mass or calcification noted. Intra and
extrahepatic vasculature are within normal limits.

KIDNEYS: Both kidneys are normal in sizes (RK: 10.06cm x 3.44cm, LK: 10.68cm x
4.18cm), shapes, outlines and positions with good corticomedullary
differentiation and preserved pelvicalyceal systems. No e/o hydronephrosis
noted.

PERITONEUM: The demonstrated bowel loops at the ileum appear distended, thickwalled
with fluid loading and whirling (to and fro) peristaltic activity; sonographic
features are those keeping with bowel ileus. No e/o appendicitis noted. The
rest of the bowel loops are within normal limits. No appendicitis noted.

SPLEEN: The spleen is normal-sized measuring 9.08cm with smooth outline and uniform
parenchymal echogenicity. No focal mass lesion visualized.

OTHERS: The pancreas, gallbladder, para-aortic regions are within normal limits. No
lymphadenopathy seen.

URINARY BLADDER: The urinary bladder is well distended with clear urine. No cystitis noted.

UTERUS: The uterus is non-gravid, anteverted and normal in size measuring cm in AP

diameter with border regularity, homogenous myometrium and well defined
endometrium. No focal myometrial mass seen.

ADNEXA/POD: The right adnexa showed a solitary, thinwalled, hypoechoic cystic mass
measuring 3.33cm x 2.97cm. The left adnexa is unilaterally free. No significant
fluid collection in the pouch of Douglas.

IMPRESSION: SONOGRAPHIC FEATURES FAVOURS BOWEL ILEUS (CAUSE ?).
