Chapter 2 – Living Things

1. Things that are alive are called living things, such as :

people, animals and plants.
2. Living things grow, reproduce, move by themselves and
react to changes in their surroundings.
3. Living things need air, water, sunlight, soil and food to stay
alive.
4. Oxygen (O2) and carbon dioxide (CO2) are found in air.
5. Plants can make their food using sunlight, water and air.
6. Atmosphere is a blanket of air that covers earth. It protects
all living things on earth from the harmful rays of the sun.
