Entrance and Parking:

 Entrance to Prime View from Southward Drive – refer to map link.
 Secure parking monitored by Interactive Security.
 All Vehicles to enter the main gate at Olifantsfontein Rd. Marshals will guide vehicles onto the open
field to the right of access rd.
 Gazebo drop off will be allowed at the parking area indicated on the map. No vehicles will be
allowed on the race village area at any time.

 Race Village:

Format: XCO Track for all age groups and skill level!

Route: 4.3 km (Nippers, Sprogs and Sub- Juniors)

Route: 2.7km (Sub-Nippers and Sub Sub-Nippers Fun Race)

Course demarcation: Please note the final course lay-out will be made available on Friday.

 The courses are temporarily marked and will be fully marked by Friday 10 May 2024.
 Start and Finish area clearly marked.
 Marshalls will be on the course ensuring rider safety and communication with race director.
 Riders will be batched into time slots based on age categories.
 Riders must expect, and navigate, rider traffic on the course.

Technical / feed zone:

 Team gazebos may be set up in this area and are for the use of all schools and parents.
 Special care must be taken when entering or exiting the Tech/Feed zone.
 Feeding, stopping and technical issues may be done only in the Tech/Feed zone.
Parents and riders must be aware of good practice in the technical/ feed zone.

• No crossing of the race line is permitted.

• No outside assistance/fellow riders while on the track.
• No BACK TRACKING except within the Feed/Tech zone.
• Exit and Entry of Course At Same point /place.
• Do not throw water bottles in the Feed/ TechZone.
• Please follow the instructions of the marshals.

Helmets & kit:

 Helmets are compulsory – NO HELMET….NO RIDE.

 Water bottle on the bike, or backpack when starting the race!
 No sleeveless tops allowed.
 No cameras on the chest, helmet allowed.
 School cycling kit or school sport kit to represent your school.
 Home schoolers to wear black cycling top

Number boards and collection:

 Please note: If you are riding for the first time you need to collect your number board from
the registration table – amount payable R100.
 Team managers/ teachers/ representatives of schools to collect number boards from
registration table from 06:30
 Numbers are allocated according to rider categories.
 New/Lost number boards – R100.

Timing and Results:

 Riders will be timed using the BoutTime Timing System number board and chip.
 There are Timing Pods at the Start/Finish line.
 Results are streamed live online and can be viewed on www.bouttime.co.za.
 Riders are required to ensure that their results reflect on the system, and it is advised
that results are checked within 15 minutes after the end of the race.
 Points are scored according to position finished.
 Any result issues can be addressed at Timing/Registration table only through the Team
Manager.
 All results count towards the season points log for schools.
 All results are provisional, until made official by the timekeepers.
Points:

The below table shows the points table for all categories. All points achieved in this round of the series will
carry equal weight to all other rounds of the 2022 series.

Practice:

 Practice allowed on Raceday morning and FRIDAY afternoon 10 MAY 2024 from
14:00 – 17:00.

 SCHOOLS ARE WELCOME TO BRING GASEBOS AND BANNERS

 PRIME VIEW selling food and drinks vendors available.
