EJEMPLO 1 de Examen Libre NIVEL MEDIO

INSTRUCTIONS:

All answers should be written in SPANISH. This is a READING test in English (not an English
Language test) based on the course that is taught at this Faculty. You have THREE hours to
complete the test. Follow directions; any answers that do not respond to the question asked
or the request made, will NOT receive the percentage assigned. You must reach 75% in order
to pass the exam as established by the regulations of the Facultad de Filosofía y Letras. You
may use a dictionary and the Grammar Dictionary.

INTERNALIZE

1. Compose a brief conceptual synthesis, not exceeding 15 lines, reflecting your


understanding of the read text and meeting the following criteria:

• Ensure an appropriately written expression for the university context, emphasizing


coherence, cohesion, punctuation, and spelling.
• Conceptualize the main ideas of the text.
• Organize these concepts hierarchically and interrelatedly.
• Demonstrate the predominant textual structure (comparison, argumentation,
description, narration).
• Include the author's stance, if present in the text.

2. Outline the text.


Make sure the hierarchy among concepts (main, sub-ideas and supporting material) is
clear enough. Use noun phrases. All nodes should be interrelated. Remember to
indicate closure.
