The moment she acknowledged she liked Hak, no loved him, with all her soul, she knew it
was different.

Different than that past. The past which they didn’t want to utter a word about, but as
circumstances forced, always had to face.

The past where she thought she loved him, her cousin, the reigning monarch, the murderer of
her beloved father, Soo-won.

She didn't like him now.

Who would like anyone who betrayed their trust and broke it down?

He murdered he father, her only family, but she knew he was a man to be recognized.

A man who made her kingdom hold its head high, united in all parts.

But just because they had the same objectives, it didn't mean she would forgive him. The
present her acknowledged him and that's all.

Then it was different though.

Soo-won made her feel at peace, back then.

When she was with him a tingling sensation of calmness and serenity spread all over.
She thought she could be happy with him, but now she knew better.

She loved him she knew, but it's not the same with Hak.

She had an illusion with Soo-won. With Hak its only truth and nothing but the truth.

Of course, this fallacy of hers regarding Soo-won was shattered. Torn down by the recipient
of the mirage that fateful night.

That fateful night where she thought she could rely on no one, destined to meet her end
painfully decieved.

That fateful night a man akin to a 1000 soldiers rose for her. The man willing to be her shield
forever just so that she could trudge on her path. The man who wished for her happiness
more than his. The man who undoubtedly cherished her passion and fearless courage. The
man who would, is and willing to give his all for her.

She fell in love with that kind of man, Hak.

Hak was different. Different in a way that instead of peace, he brought her restlessness, a
desire to always be beside him, a hope to always see his smile, a pounding heart and a wish
to keep him with her forever. He was the only semblance or her past which still flourished in
her life . The only one who could bring out the love buried deep in her.

Her Hak.

Yona's Hak.

When he confessed (rather shouted his feelings), she was confused. Her heart wouldn't stop
beating. He told he didn't need a response, but Yona knew. She knew she had to let her
feelings out or else she would burst. She didn't want anyone to take him. No not her Hak.

She finally let it out. Of course it wasn't the right setting. But she wanted to tell him. Let him
know that she loved him with the same intensity as he did. Willing to be known as his.
Forever until time stops.

From the secret glances, to the blush dusting on her cheeks ; from the lapis locket to the
promises of never leaving her alone; from the funny teasing smile to the encouraging eyes
filled with admiration; from day till night, it was obvious

There could be no one else. It was forever Hak and Yona.

Infinite, boundless and never ending.

This was true love.

End Notes

This story has no proper plot nor structure. It had been lying in my drafts for a while and I
thought why not post it. I wanted to capture how much Yona loved Hak as I feel that her
intensity is neglected (my opinion pls don't bash me).
