SUMMER ASSIGNMENT

There are two projects to be completed for Entrepreneurship during the summer
vacation.

(1) Business Plan

(2) Market Survey
Send the details of how you are progressing with your project to your respective
teachers. If you find any difficulty in completing the projects, please do communicate
with the teachers so that they can guide/help you with the completion. Both projects
should be completed in all respects during the summer vacation and submitted for
corrections after vacation. (please follow the dates given in the guidelines)

PROJECT GUIDELINES – GRADE 12

ENTREPRENEURSHIP PROJECT 1 –
BUSINESS PLAN

Prepare a business plan for a proposed enterprise.

Students should identify a business idea (with an innovative product/ service) and
develop a business plan in detail. The competitive advantage and USP of the idea
should be identified. The Organizational, Operational , Production , Financial,
Manpower and Marketing planning should be carried out and presented in detail. A
detailed financial plan section indicating financial requirements (fixed and working
capital ), sources of finance, proforma income statement for one month and break
even analysis should also be prepared and included in the business plan.
The format and other details are included in the Guideline for practical examination
section in the textbook. (Refer to the project outline shared by your teacher for
specific details and order to be followed in the project.)
 ● Students should collect back their initial drafts from teachers after
correction before summer vacation and update the draft based on
suggestions given and complete the project during the summer break.
● The final draft should be handwritten (please get approval for the project
from the teacher concerned before writing the fair final draft) in blue
ink on plain white papers (use thick paper, unruled). No Pictures / Writing
should be made on the left hand side of the file.
● Draw/ print borders on all pages leaving a wider margin (2 c.m. Approx.)
on the left hand side to avoid getting the written work caught in spiral
binding.

PROJECT 2 – MARKET SURVEY

□ Conduct a survey in any one of the following topics

a) Market survey for estimating demand for an existing product
, with an innovative suggestion
b) Market survey for a new innovative product
c) Market survey for study on any social issue (choose from the list in
text book)

□ Guidelines regarding how to conduct the survey and to prepare a report is

detailed in the “Guidelines for Practical Examination” section of the
textbook. (Refer to the project outline shared by your teacher for
specific details and order to be followed in the project.)

Send the details of how you are progressing with your market survey project to your
respective teachers. Please do start with your questionnaire preparation soon, as you
have to get the questionnaires ready with you by the second week of July. Send it to
your respective teachers so as to get it corrected before you administer it to all your
respondents for the survey.
Make sure to conduct a detailed survey/ research on your chosen topic and since the
present condition is not very suitable to meet your respondents personally to collect
first hand data for your analysis, you should use an online platform to reach out to
respondents personally for the survey. Ensure that you will have access to
individual responses from each respondent for each question available with you
while using the chosen tool/app as the evidence for the same is required to be
included in the appendix section of your project report.

Both projects should be submitted on 18th, August 2024.
