Who are we?

United Bible Societies Association (UBSA) is a global organisation. We serve over 150 Bible Societies
working in more than 200 countries and territories. Within UBS the Africa Youth Service (AYS) is an
extension and restructuring of HIV Service, which has provided capacity building and coordination for
Bible Societies implementing the Good Samaritan Program in Africa since the early 2000s. With
support from the Norwegian Bible Society (NoBS) and the Norwegian Agency for Development
Cooperation (Norad), AYS will collaborate with Bible Societies in the implementation of the Young
Samaritan Program – a holistic scripture engagement program for youth.

What will this role involve?

The role will support overall monitoring, evaluation, and reporting, as well as operative and strategic
digital marketing and communication for Africa Youth Service (AYS). The position will also serve as an
effective liaison between AYS and funding partners, international non-governmental organisations
(INGOs), civil society organisations (CSOs), local authorities, and stakeholders.

Who are we looking for?

The successful applicant will have extensive communications experience particularly working with
donors. They will be conversant with monitoring and evaluation tools and have strong skills in
producing meaningful reports for a variety of stakeholders. The candidate will have a proven ability
to influence others in the absence of positional authority, working with diverse stakeholders.
