Competition regulations

1.) The International Clarinet Competition of the Municipality of Parc Hosingen.

Organized in partnership with the Klenge Maarnicher Festival and the Cube 521 in Marnach is aimed at
clarinetists of all nationalities and will take place in Luxembourg from 6 to 11 April 2025.

2) The competition is open to people born after 1990.

3.) the application for the competition includes a video; the video must be submitted from 01.10.2024 to
15.11.2024

4.) application deadline: 15 November 2024 by 11.59 pm (including video recording of the elimination round).
VIDEO:

A) Recording: (video file) No editing or technical manipulation is allowed.

1. C. Debussy / Première Rhapsodie (First Rhapsody).
2. I. Stravinsky / 1st and 2nd piece for clarinet solo.

B) The recording must be made in a single take and without editing, and should be sent by WeTransfer to the
following email address: concours-clarinette@dkmf.lu

5.) All events are open to the public free of charge.

6.) The preliminary jury and the jury consist of internationally recognised clarinettists.

7.) The decisions of the jury are final.

8.) Travelling and accommodation expenses are to be borne by the oarticipant.

9.) The ICCoMH reserves the right to broadcast the competition auditions on radio, television and the Internet
without compensation to the candidates.

10.) The draw will take place on 07 April 2025 at 09:00 at the location of the competition and will determine the
order of the candidates, which will be maintained throughout the competition.

11.) Candidates must register before 15 November 2024.

Each applicant shall attach to the registration form:
A) Video
B) Copy of an identity document.
C) A photo
D) A short curriculum vitae
E) The chosen repertoire
F) A copy of the bank transfer

The registration fee is 60 euros and must be paid into the competition account.

12.) PRIZES :
First prize: € 5.000,00
Second prize: € 3.000,00
Third prize: € 2.000,00
Best interpretation of the new composition and audience prize: € 1,000.00
Prize of the jury: a clarinet
The prizes will be awarded during the award ceremony on 11 April at 9 pm.

13.) The jury of the competition is solely responsible for deciding on any disputes. Its decisions are final and do
not have to be justified. In the event of a tie, the chairman of the jury shall have the casting vote.

14.) Conditions for accompaniment: candidates may be accompanied by one of the competition's
accompanists (free of charge) or bring their own personal accompanists.

15.) The International Clarinet Competition of the Municipality of Park Hosingen reserves the right to change
the rules in the interest of the competition.

16) Registration for the competition implies full and unconditional acceptance of these rules. By submitting the
application, the participants give their consent in accordance with D.L. 30.06.2003, no. 196 to the use of their
personal data for the organisation of the competition and the associated artistic promotion.

17.) The artistic director Max Mausen will attend the jury but will not have the right to vote.

18.) The members of the jury may not vote in favour of candidates who are currently their direct students.

19.) Participants must be contactable throughout the duration of the competition and are requested to inform
the secretariat of any changes to their schedule.
