RIGHT TO
HEALTH
The right to health is fundamental because it encompasses
more than simply receiving medical care when you are sick. It
includes access to clean water, adequate sanitary conditions,
safe food and a healthy work environment. In short, it is
about creating the necessary conditions so that all people
can lead a healthy and full life.

Health rights are a set of principles and norms that promote

access to health services, comprehensive health care, disease
prevention, treatment, recovery and rehabilitation of health; as
well as access to information and informed consent.

Every person, in any community, can receive the health services

they require, with the quality necessary to improve their health,
without suffering economic difficulties.

Law No. 26842

Every person has the right to recovery, rehabilitation and
promotion of their mental health.
Every person must be cared for in a responsible and respectful
manner.
