GOALS:

PERFORMANCE TASK 3.1


Synergy 1st Elimination

Goal: To be part of the official contender for Synergy 2023-2024


Role: Performer
Audience: Marian Titan
Situation: You are going to prepare a presentation to showcase your
unique talent/s in the art of singing, dancing, acting, martial arts,
playing an instrument, poetry, comedy, or other activities.
Product/Performance: 1-3minute live presentation
Standard: Rubrics/Criteria

RUBRIC:

Overall Performance 25%


A judgement on the contestant's ability to present original material
that draws a positive response from the audience with personality,
originality, and poise.
Poise and Projection 15%
A judgement on the performer(s) attitude, including their
originality personality, confidence, their eye contact with the
audience and professionalism (their reaction to mistakes, giggling
during the performance, etc.) Also a judgement on their overall
appearance's display.
Originality 35%
The performer(s) ability to create a piece of work that is distinctive
or different from the other performers. It takes creativity,
ingenuity, confidence, and personality to present an original piece.
CREATIVITY 25%
A judgement based on the creativity of the performer(s). For
example, did the performers have creative dance moves or were
creative signs added to the performance?
ORGANIZATION/ COORDINATION
This is a judgement on purely the organization of the performance.
For example, was the spacing off in the performance, or were
words forgotten in the performance, or were dancers
coordinated?.

Guidelines
A. Competition is open to all MQSM students. Students may enter
the as a solo act or a group.
B. Collaboration with different levels is permitted.
C. Performance must not exceed two (2) minutes for individual
performance and three (3) minutes for group performance.
D. PARTICIPATION IS A MUST! This is your Integrated Performance Task
on ARTS with Music, PE, & Health.
E. RULES ABOUT PERFORMANCE:
1. We want students who enter this competition to exhibit their
talent. Talents might include (but are not limited to) singing,
dancing, instrumental music, skits, magic, and juggling. Lip-syncing
or singing along with the voice on the tape is not allowed.
2. No performance will be considered if it does not meet the MQSM’s
standards of appropriateness for school in terms of language, subject
matter, and attire.
a. No foul words on the song used.
b. No revealing outfits such as crop top, sleeveless, low neckline,
and shorts.
c. No stunts and inappropriate or alluring dance steps used.
3. Performers are responsible for their own production.
4. All performers are responsible for rehearsing and polishing on their
own as well as during the days we do not meet.
5. During MAPEH class, students will practice doing their performance.
6. If the performance has been changed from its original proposal
without prior permission, or if it is not adequately prepared, it will be
dropped from the competition.
7. Submissions made to any activity are not allowed, such as Tuklas
Talino or any prior performance tasks done.

REMINDER:
Acts having ANY DOUBTS about the appropriateness of their material
are advised to discuss the matter with their MAPEH teacher before
Practicing the performance. Please understand that what is seen on TV or
in the movies is not necessarily appropriate in a school setting.
