Classification of Soil/ मृदा का वर्गीकरण

Colour - रंर्ग
• Rich in humus tend to be dark
• घेरा रंर्ग होर्गा जब धरण में प्रचुर होर्गी
• Red or yellow soils typically indicate the
presence of iron.
• लाल या पीली नमट्टी आमतौर पर लोह की उपनथिनत
का सक ं े त देती है।
Texture - बिावट
• Coarseness of the mineral matter
• खनिज पदािि की जमावट
• Proportion of the sand, silt and clay
particles
• रेत, र्गाद और नमट्टी के कणों का अिुपात
Loamy Soil - दोमट नमट्टी

• Loamy soil has about 40% sand,
40%silt, and 20% clay
• दोमट नमट्टी में लर्गभर्ग 40% रेत, 40% र्गाद
और 20% नमट्टी होती है
Soils of India/ भारत की मृदा

• On the basis of genesis, colour,
composition and location, the soils of India
have been classified into:
• उत्पनि, रंर्ग, रचिा और थिाि के आधार पर, भारत
की नमट्टी को इस प्रकार वर्गीकृत नकया र्गया है:
Alluvial Soil - जलोढ़ नमट्टी

Deposited by rivers
िनदयों द्वारा निक्षेप
• Divided into younger khadar and older bhangar
• युवा खादर और पुरािे भांर्गर में नवभानजत
• Crops of rice, wheat, sugarcane, tobacco, cotton,
jute, maize, oilseeds
• चावल, र्गेहं, र्गन्िा, तम्बाकू, कपास, जूट, मक्का, नतलहि की
फसलें
Black Soil - काली नमट्टी

• Formed in the Deccan Plateau
• दक्कि के पठार में निनमित
• Phosphates, nitrogen and humus are low.
• फॉथफे ट, िाइट्रोजि और ह्यूमस कम हैं।
• cotton crop, other crop wheat, jowar, linseed, virginia
tobacco, castor, sunflower and millets.
• कपास की फसल, अन्य फसल र्गेहं, ज्वार, अलसी, वनजिि तंबाकू,
अरंडी, सरू जमुखी और बाजरा।
Red Soils - लाल नमट्टी

• Presence of iron oxide
• लोहे के ऑक्साइड की उपनथिनत
• Locally called ‘Chalka’ in Andhra Pradesh
• थिािीय रूप से आंध्र प्रदेश में 'छलका' कहा जाता है
• Cotton, wheat, rice, pulses, millets, tobacco, oil seeds,
potatoes and fruits.
• कपास, र्गेहं, चावल, दालें, बाजरा, तंबाकू, तेल बीज, आलू और
फल।
Arid Soils - शुष्क नमट्टी

• Bajra, pulses, guar, fodder and less
water requiring crops.
• बाजरा, दलहि, ग्वार, चारा और फसलों को
कम पािी की आवश्यकता होती है।
Forest Soils - वि की नमट्टी

Crops/फसलें -
• Like tea, coffee, spices, apple, peach
• जैसे चाय, कॉफी, मसाले, सेब, आड़ू
• Potatoes are grown in mostly all areas.
• आलू ज्यादातर सभी क्षेत्रों में उर्गाए जाते हैं।
Peaty Soils - पीटी नमट्टी

• Locally called Kari in Kottayam and Alleppey
districts of Kerala
• थिािीय रूप से के रल के कोट्टायम और अल्लेप्पी नजलों में
कारी को कहा जाता है
• Cultivation of rice
• चावल की खेती
Straits of Malacca/ मलक्का का जलडमरूमध्य

• Connecting the Andaman Sea (Indian
Ocean) and the South China Sea (Pacific
Ocean)/ अंडमाि सार्गर (नहदं महासार्गर) और
दनक्षण चीि सार्गर (प्रशांत महासार्गर) को जोडता
है
• The shortest sea route
between India and China / भारत और चीि
के बीच सबसे छोटा समुद्री मार्गि
Bering Strait /बेररंर्ग जलडमरूमध्य

• Separates North America and Asia
• उिरी अमेररका और एनशया को अलर्ग करता है
• Stretch water from Bering Sea to Arctic
Ocean
• बेररंर्ग सार्गर से पािी आकि नटक महासार्गर तक ले
जाता है
• Russia and Alaska are divided by the
Bering Strait

Palk Strait /पलक जलडमरूमध्य

• Strait lies between India and Sri Lanka

• Separate Africa and Europe

• Connecting the Mediterranean Sea with
the Atlantic Ocean
• अटलांनटक महासार्गर के साि भूमध्य सार्गर को

Sunda Strait\सडुं ा जलडमरूमध्य

• It joins Java Sea and Indian Ocean
• जावा सार्गर और नहन्द महासार्गर
• Between the Indonesian islands
of Java and Sumatra
• इडं ोिेनशया के द्वीप जावा और समु ात्रा के मध्य है
Formosa Strait \ फोरमोसा जलडमरूमध्य

• It also known as Taiwan strait
• ताईवाि जलडमरूमध्य भी कहा जाता है
• It joins South China Sea and East China
Sea
• यह दनक्षणी चीि सार्गर और पूवी चीि सार्गर को
Florida Strait \ फलोररडा जलडमरूमध्य

• Joins Gulf of Mexico and Atlantic Ocean
• मेनक्सको की खाडी और अटलांनटक महासार्गर

• The strait carries the Florida Current,
the beginning of the Gulf Stream, from
the Gulf of Mexico

African countries
of Madagascar and Mozambique

Yucatan strait \ युकाटि जलडमरूमध्य

• Joins Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean Sea
• मैनकथकों की खाडी और के ररनबयि सार्गर को
• India has 14,500 kilometres or 9,000

miles of inland waterways, out of which
5,685 kilometres or 3,530 miles are
navigable by mechanized vessels.
• भारत में 14,500 नकलोमीटर या 9,000 मील

अंतदेशीय जलमार्गि हैं, नजिमें से 5,685
नकलोमीटर या 3,530 मील की दूरी पर यंत्रीकृत
जलयाि िौर्गम्य हैं।
• Since 1947, India has made great progress in

shipping and gradually became the second
largest shipping country in Asia and sixth
largest in the world. Indian ships ply on most
of the shipping route of the world.
• 1947 के बाद से, भारत िे नशनपंर्ग में काफी प्रर्गनत की है
और धीरे-धीरे एनशया में दूसरा सबसे बडा नशनपंर्ग देश
बि र्गया है और दुनिया में छठा सबसे बडा है। भारतीय
जहाज दुनिया के अनधकांश नशनपंर्ग मार्गि पर चलते हैं।
• India has a 6,100 kilometres (3,790 mi)-long coastline with only 13

major ports: Mumbai, Deendayal (Kandla), Jawaharlal Nehru Port
(at Nehru Seve), Marmagaon, New Mangalore and Kochi on the
west coast, alongside Kolkata, Chennai, Ennore (Kamarajar),
Haldia, Paradeep, Vishakhapatnam and Tuticorin on the east coast.
