EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

As a part of curriculum, we have undergone internship in AIM TECHNOLOGIES for four


weeks. It becomes necessary for undergraduate to be well versed with both theoretical
knowledge and its practical application in real situation. The internship training is an eye opener
regarding the actual functioning of different departments in an organization. Also, inter
departmental relationships and its significance thoroughly understood during this period.

We studied the theoretical aspects of Management principles in the classroom. However, here at
AIM TECHNOLOGIES we could learn the application of that principles. We
learned how this principle are implemented in this organizational setting. It is aimed at seeking
information from various department, its history nature of business, mission, policies,
procedures, products, turnover and market share etc.

Organization study helped to know new method, technology used by the company. It enhances
the knowledge about the company and its competitors and technique strategies adopted by them
to beat their competitor. Overall, it helped in knowing.learning and studying any organization
closely. There are different sub- divisions at AIM TECHNOLOGIES which mainlydeal with
industrial relation, human resources development and public relation.

It was a great opportunity for us to undergo summer training and how company coordinated its
department and in providing timely and comfortable service to the public. The support and the
hands-on-experience during four weeks in the organization.

Plant Layout & Description

Fixed Position Layout (It involves the movement of men and


machine to the product which remains stationary).
Aim Technologies uses fixed position layout which means
their major components of production remain in a fixed
location but other components like other equipments,
machineries, labour as well as other pieces of materials are
brought to their location. Here, their products remains
stationary because cost of moving the product is too high and as compared to cost of moving of
labour, material and other equipments.

The weight, size of their product makes it undesirable and extremely difficult to move the
product. Hence, their products remain static at their production plant.

Production System Used

INTERMITTENT PRODUCTION SYSTEM (In this production


system, goods are produced based on customer's orders).
Aim Technologies produces goods on a small scale. Their flow of
production is not continuous. They produce large varieties of
products. Their products are of different sizes. The design of these
products goes on changing according to the design and size of the
product. Therefore, this system is very flexible.

JOB SHOP PRODUCTION (Aim Technologies manufactures one


or few quantity of products designed and produced as per the
specification of customers within prefixed time and cost. When
consumers buy things, they neither sell them on nor use them to make
something that they then sell. A job shop may be a paint shop or a
machine tool shop. Gear manufacturing, jig-boring, honing, grinding,
and fabrication shops, for example, might also be job shops).

Products Produced
Aim Technologies produces goods on a small scale. Their flow of production is not continuous.
They produce large varieties of products.

 Turnkey Mineral Water Project :- It process the normal water from a natural source or
from the municipality etc. and convert it to Purified Packaged drinking water which is
nowadays very much popular among health-conscious people all around the world. Common
people mostly called " Mineral water".

 Water Treatment / Purification Plant:
A reverse osmosis plant is a type of water treatment system. RO plant is use to purifying
water like remove pollutants and toxins from water.
 Bottle Rinsing, Filling And Capping Machine (Automatic):
They provide Fully automatic bottle rinsing, filling and capping machine. It has capacities
ran from 24BPM to 120BPM and some time higher.
 20 Liter Jar Washing, Filling And Capping Machine:
They provide 20 liter jar washing, filling and capping machine to their clients. This machine
capacity ranges from 100JPH to 450JPH or even higher.
 Pouch Packaging Machine:
They offer pouch packaging machine with benefits such as efficient and sanitary packing,
supporting different pouch sizes and shapes.
 Blow Molding Machine (For Making Pet Bottles):
They offer fully automatic and semi automatic pet blow molding machine. It has capacities
range from 900 BPH to 7200 BPH. This machine is use in plastic sector to make bottles,
container, drums and tanks, automobile components.
 Labelling Machine:
They offer a labeling machine with an encoder attached to the product conveyor motor to
detect conveyor speed and align the label with the product. The applicator (all MITSUBISHI
parts) and operated (by HMI) apply the label to the product, while the label sensor (SICK)
searches for gaps between labels.
 Batch Coding Machine:

RAW MATERIALS ORDERED

 SS(Stainless Steel) :- It is an alloy of iron that is resistant to rusting and corrosion. It


contains iron with chromium and other elements such as molybdenum, carbon, nickel and
nitrogen depending on its specific use and cost. Stainless steel's resistance to corrosion
results from the 10.5%, or more, chromium content which forms a passive film that can
protect the material and self-heal in the presence of oxygen.

 MS(Mild Steel) :- It is a ferrous metal made from iron and carbon. It is a low-priced
material with properties that are suitable for most general engineering applications. Low
carbon mild steel has good magnetic properties due to its high iron content, it is therefore

 Aluminium :- It is a silvery-white metal, the 13 element in the periodic table. One

up more than 8% of the Earth's core mass. It's also the third most common chemical

 PLC , HMI :- A Programmable Logic Controller, or PLC, is a ruggedized computer used


for industrial automation. These controllers can automate a specific process, machine
function, or even an entire production line. The PLC receives information from connected
sensors or input devices, processes the data, and triggers outputs based on pre-
programmed parameters. Human Machine Interface, often known by the acronym HMI,
refers to a dashboard or screen used to control machinery. Line operators, managers and
supervisors in industry rely on HMIs to translate complex data into useful information.

 Miniature Conveyor :- Miniature conveyors are conveyors built as small as they come.

 Wires :- A wire is a flexible, round, bar of metal. Wire is commonly formed by drawing
the metal through a hole in a die or draw plate. Wire gauges come in various standard
sizes, as expressed in terms of a gauge number or cross-sectional area.

 MCB`s :- An MCB is an automatically operated electrical switch. Miniature circuit


breakers are intended to prevent damage to an electrical circuit as a result of excess
current. They are designed to trip during an overload or short circuit to protect against
electrical faults and equipment failure.

 Induction Motor :- An induction motor or asynchronous motor is an AC electric motor


in which the electric current in the rotor that produces torque is obtained by
electromagnetic induction from the magnetic field of the stator winding. An induction
motor therefore needs no electrical connections to the rotor. An induction motor's rotor
can be either wound type or squirrel-cage type.

 Rubber Roll/Rubber Bolt :- A rubber bolt is a removable rivet nut made of two parts. A
flanged rubber portion made of EPDM Neoprene and a brass insert nut. Well nuts only
require one side of the hole to be exposed so they can be used for blind fastenings.
