Adverbs
Read the following sentences. Study the explanation that follows.

She always arrives early

He drives carefully
The baby crawled very slowly

Adverbs

The words in bold above are the examples of adverbs. Adverbs are words that describe verbs.
adjectives, and another adverb.

Here are types of adverbs.

1. Adverb of place
It tells us where something happens. Example: The book is in here.

2. Adverb of manner
It tells us how something happens. Example: They run quickly.

3. Adverb of time
It tells us when an action happened. Example: She wrote a poem yesterday.

4. Adverb of sequence
It describes the order in which two or more actions happen. Example: First, I will make a glass
of juice. Then, I will read the novel.

5. Adverb of frequency
It is used to indicate routine or repeated activities. Example: Sometimes I go swimming
