Word – In Christ
Satan loves to lie to us to discourage us. He frequently puts thoughts into our minds such
as:
 Hindi ako marunong
 Hindi ko kaya
 Pangit ako
 Hindi ako minamahal
 Wala akong saysay
 Mahihiya ako
 Kawawa ako
 At marami pang iba

This leads results in things such as:

 Insecurities
 Self-pity
 Lack of confidence
 Becoming mahiyain
 A critical spirit (criticizing others to build ourselves up in comparison)
 Resentment
 Jealousy
 Rebelliousness
 Galit
 Depression
 Fear
 A need to please others
 Pride
 Materialism and other wrong values
 Becoming overly attentive to physical appearance
 Becoming a workaholic
1
 Proving our worth
 Serving the Lord for wrong motives
 Atbp.

Reflection (5 min.)
Prayerfully review the list of problems that can develop from believing Satan’s lies. Try
to identify any of these things you may be experiencing. If you are experiencing any of
these things, have hope! The Lord wants to heal you!

All this comes from believing Satan’s lies! Fortunately, there is a solution. Believe the
truth! See what the word of God says about you because you are in Christ! This is the
truth! Believe it!

This is perhaps the greatest thing we can do to build our spiritual lives. Hawakan po
natin ang katotohanan!

Let’s start now.

Renew your mind!

Unfortunately, for many of us, it’s not easy to believe these truths. We have heard Satan’s
lies for so long that it is hard to break these lies and believe the truth. But it can be done.
Read “In Christ” out loud, every day, for 30 days. Let’s plant the truth in our minds!

Results
Firmly believing God’s truths about who we are in Christ produces lots of good results!
Look for these results in your life:
 Confidence that you are loved
 Confidence that you are valuable
 Peace
 Joy
 Contentment
 Greater love for God
 Greater ability to love others
 Confidence to step out and take risks
 Increased desire to share the gospel
 Atbp.

Ako ay pinawalang-sala (see Roma 5:1).
Kabilang ako sa Diyos (see 1 Cor. 6:19-20).
Ako ay isang banal (see Efeso 1:1).

Filipos 1:6).
at pagpipigil sa sarili (see 2 Timoteo 1:7).

Ako ay kanyang nilalang (see Efeso 2:10).

In Christ

I renounce the lie that I am rejected, unloved, dirty or shameful because in Christ I
am completely accepted. God says that
I am God’s child (see John 1:12).
I am Christ’s friend (see John 15:15).
I have been justified (see Romans 5:1).
I am united with the Lord, and I am one spirit with Him (see 1 Corinthians 6:17).
I have been bought with a price. I belong to God (see 1 Corinthians 6:19,20).
I am a member of Christ’s body (see 1 Corinthians 12:27).
I am a saint (see Ephesians 1:1).
I have been adopted as God’s child (see Ephesians 1:5).
I have direct access to God through the Holy Spirit (see Ephesians 2:18).
I have been redeemed and forgiven of all my sins (see Colossians 1:14).
I am complete in Christ (see Colossians 2:10).

I renounce the lie that I am guilty, unprotected, alone or abandoned because in

Christ I am totally secure. God says that
I am free forever from condemnation (see Romans 8:1,2).
I am assured that all things work together for good (see Romans 8:28).
I am free from any condemning charges against me (see Romans 8:31-34).
I cannot be separated from the love of God (see Romans 8:35-39).
I have been established, anointed, and sealed by God (see 2 Corinthians 1:21, 22).
I am hidden with Christ in God (see Colossians 3:3).
I am confident that the good work that God has begun in me will be perfected (see
Philippians 1:6).
I am a citizen of heaven (see Philippians 3:20).
I have not been given a spirit of fear but power, love, and a sound Mind (see 2 Timothy
1:7).
I can find grace and mercy in time of need (see Hebrews 4:16).
I am born of God, and the evil one cannot touch me (see 1 John 5:18).

I renounce the lie that I am worthless, inadequate, helpless or hopeless because in

Christ I am deeply significant. God says that
I am the salt and light of the earth (see Matthew 5:13,14).
I am a branch of the true vine, a channel of His life (see John 15:1, 5).
I have been chosen and appointed to bear fruit (see John 15:16).
I am a personal witness of Christ’s (see Acts 1:8).
I am God’s temple (see 1 Corinthians 3:16).
I am a minister of reconciliation for God (see 2 Corinthians 5:17-21)
5
I am God’s co-worker (1 Cor. 3:9) (see 2 Corinthians 6:1).
I am seated with Christ in the heavenly realm (see Ephesians 2:6).
I am God’s workmanship (see Ephesians 2:10).
I may approach God with freedom and confidence (see Ephesians 3:12).
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me (see Philippinas 4:13).
