LAC TITLE: “Enhancing Early Literacy: Implementing Instructional Strategies for Improved Reading Skills in
Kindergarten to Grade 3 at Pinmilapil Elementary School”
BASELINE DATA The baseline for the "Enhancing Early Literacy: Implementing Instructional Strategies for Improved
Reading Skills in Kindergarten to Grade 3 at Pinmilapil Elementary School" Learning Action Cell (LAC)
is established through a comprehensive assessment of the current literacy levels and instructional
practices within the school. Initial evaluations reveal that a significant percentage of learners in
Kindergarten to Grade 3 are performing below the expected reading proficiency levels, with notable
deficiencies in phonemic awareness, vocabulary, and comprehension skills.

OBJECTIVES 1. equip teachers with effective instructional strategies that are specifically designed to foster
foundational reading skills among young learners.
2. improve the reading proficiency of students from Kindergarten to Grade 3, ensuring they
develop the critical literacy skills necessary for academic success
3. create a collaborative learning environment where teachers can share insights, challenges,
and best practices, fostering a community of practice that continuously strives for
educational excellence.
