What are the Benefits of internet?

1. Information Access Vast Resources: Provides access to a wealth of information

on virtually any topic. Research and Learning: Facilitates academic research and
self-education through online courses, articles, and e-books.

2. Communication Instant Messaging: Enables real-time communication via chat

applications (e.g., WhatsApp, Messenger). Email: Allows for asynchronous
communication through email services like Gmail and Yahoo Mail.
Video Conferencing: Supports face-to-face communication over long distances
through platforms like Zoom and Skype.

3. Entertainment Streaming Services: Provides access to movies, TV shows, and

music through services like Netflix, YouTube, and Spotify Online Gaming

Disadvantages of the internet

Cyberbullying: The internet provides a platform for people to harass, intimidate,

or target others, leading to emotional distress and sometimes even physical harm.

Privacy Concerns: With so much personal information shared online, there's a risk
of data breaches, identity theft, and loss of privacy. Social media platforms and
websites often collect and share user data without clear consent.

Information Overload: The sheer volume of information available online can be

overwhelming, making it difficult to find accurate information or focus on what's
important. This can lead to stress and confusion.

Spread of Misinformation: The internet allows for the rapid spread of false or
misleading information, which can have serious consequences, including
influencing elections, spreading conspiracy theories.

Security Threats: The internet is vulnerable to various security threats, including

viruses, malware, phishing scams, and hacking attacks.
