Motor control/frequency converter type D Mitsubishi FR-S 520/540 - Adjustment instructions
If you are not sure if the new frequency converter is configured according
to the Default parameters (= factory setting) you have to set the default
parameters first, as described in the following manual. (Parameter CLR
set to 1).
Attention
S Possibly turn off the Write protection for parameters (parameter
30 set to 1 and parameter 77 set to 0).
Afterwards, set the listed parameters. All steps required for the configuration are described in the follow-
ing manual (order no. 95588237) in the paragraphs operation/control and function list.
A Warning
To carry out service work at the frequency converter successfully it is essential that you read the
Safety instructions of the following manual. Be sure not to start the conveyor while setting the para-
meters.
Attention
S If 2 or more motors are connected to the frequency converter, every motor must be equipped with a
proper thermoswitch. Electric current ratings of additionally connected motors must be accordingly
added.
In case of intolerable operating conditions occurring at the frequency converter, which lead to an
I automatic switching off of the latter, error messages will be displayed. All necessary steps of trouble
shooting are explained in the following manual, paragraph Trouble shooting.
Check the settings of the Motor characteristic, the Conveyor start-up time and the Frequency converter
configuration in the menu Hardware and software and adapt them to the set conveyor speed and accelera-
tion/start-up time (F section "Software installation and configuration").
