inheritor of Adam the y¡ w¡ritha ¡dama ¥afwati ‫ﺻ ﹾﻔ َﻮ ِﺓ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ِﻪ‬
‫ﺙ ﺁ َﺩ َﻡ ﹶ‬
‫ﻚ ﻳَﺎ ﻭَﺍ ﹺﺭ ﹶ‬
َ ‫ﻼ ُﻡ َﻋ ﹶﻠ ْﻴ‬
‫ﺴﹶ‬‫ﺍﹶﻟ ﱠ‬
choice of Allah. all¡hi
Peace be upon you, O alssal¡mu `alayka
inheritor of Noah the y¡ w¡ritha n£¦in nabiyyi ‫ﻲ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ِﻪ‬
‫ﺡ ﹶﻧ ﹺﺒ ﱢ‬
‫ﺙ ﻧﹸﻮ ﹴ‬
‫ﻚ ﻳَﺎ ﻭَﺍ ﹺﺭ ﹶ‬
َ ‫ﻼ ُﻡ َﻋ ﹶﻠ ْﻴ‬
‫ﺴﹶ‬‫ﺍﹶﻟ ﱠ‬
prophet of Allah. all¡hi
Peace be upon you, O alssal¡mu `alayka ‫ﻞ‬
‫ﺧﻠِﻴ ﹺ‬
‫ﻢ ﹶ‬
َ ‫ﺙ ﹺﺇْﺑﺮَﺍﻫِﻴ‬
‫ﻚ ﻳَﺎ ﻭَﺍ ﹺﺭ ﹶ‬
َ ‫ﻼ ُﻡ َﻋ ﹶﻠ ْﻴ‬
‫ﺴﹶ‬‫ﺍﹶﻟ ﱠ‬
inheritor of Abraham the y¡ w¡ritha ibr¡h¢ma khal¢li
intimate friend of Allah. all¡hi ‫ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ِﻪ‬
Peace be upon you, O alssal¡mu `alayka ‫ﻢ‬
‫ﺳﻰٰ ﹶﻛﻠِﻴ ﹺ‬
َ ‫ﺙ ﻣُﻮ‬
‫ﻚ ﻳَﺎ ﻭَﺍ ﹺﺭ ﹶ‬
َ ‫ﻼ ُﻡ َﻋ ﹶﻠ ْﻴ‬
‫ﺴﹶ‬‫ﺍﹶﻟ ﱠ‬
inheritor of Moses the y¡ w¡ritha m£s¡ kal¢mi
spoken by Allah. all¡hi ‫ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ِﻪ‬
Peace be upon you, O
alssal¡mu `alayka
‫ﺡ‬
‫ﺴﻰٰ ﺭُﻭ ﹺ‬
َ ‫ﺙ ﻋِﻴ‬
‫ﻚ ﻳَﺎ ﻭَﺍ ﹺﺭ ﹶ‬
َ ‫ﻼ ُﻡ َﻋ ﹶﻠ ْﻴ‬
‫ﺴﹶ‬‫ﺍﹶﻟ ﱠ‬
inheritor of Jesus the spirit
y¡ w¡ritha `¢s¡ r£¦i all¡hi
of Allah. ‫ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ِﻪ‬
Peace be upon you, O alssal¡mu `alayka ‫ﺐ‬
‫ﺣﺒﹺﻴ ﹺ‬
َ ‫ﺪ‬
ٍ ‫ﺤ ﱠﻤ‬
َ ‫ﺙ ُﻣ‬
‫ﻚ ﻳَﺎ ﻭَﺍ ﹺﺭ ﹶ‬
َ ‫ﻼ ُﻡ َﻋ ﹶﻠ ْﻴ‬
‫ﺴﹶ‬‫ﺍﹶﻟ ﱠ‬
inheritor of Mu¦ammad the y¡ w¡ritha mu¦ammadin
most beloved by Allah. ¦ab¢bi all¡hi ‫ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ِﻪ‬
Peace be upon you, O
inheritor of the Commander
alssal¡mu `alayka ‫ﻦ‬
َ ‫ﺙ ﺍﻣِﻴ ﹺﺮ ﭐﹾﻟ ُﻤ ْﺆ ِﻣﻨﹺﻴ‬
‫ﻚ ﻳَﺎ ﻭَﺍ ﹺﺭ ﹶ‬
َ ‫ﻼ ُﻡ َﻋ ﹶﻠ ْﻴ‬
‫ﺴﹶ‬‫ﺍﹶﻟ ﱠ‬

of Mu¦ammad the well-
mu¦ammadin almu¥§af¡
ٰ‫ﻄ ﹶﻔﻰ‬
‫ﺼﹶ‬‫ﺪ ﭐﹾﻟ ُﻤ ﹾ‬
ٍ ‫ﺤ ﱠﻤ‬
َ ‫ﻦ ُﻣ‬
َ ‫ﻚ ﻳَﺎ ْﺑ‬
َ ‫ﻼ ُﻡ َﻋ ﹶﻠ ْﻴ‬
‫ﺴﹶ‬‫ﺍﹶﻟ ﱠ‬

of `Al¢ the well-pleased. `aliyyin almurta¤¡
ٰ‫ﻀﻰ‬
‫ﻲ ﭐﹾﻟ ُﻤ ْﺮﹶﺗ ﹶ‬
‫ﻦ َﻋ ِﻠ ﱟ‬
َ ‫ﻚ ﻳَﺎ ْﺑ‬
َ ‫ﻼ ُﻡ َﻋ ﹶﻠ ْﻴ‬
‫ﺴﹶ‬‫ﺍﹶﻟ ﱠ‬
Peace be upon you, O son
alssal¡mu `alayka yabna
of F¡§imah the luminous
f¡§imata alzzahr¡'i
‫ﻦ ﻓﹶﺎ ِﻃ َﻤ ﹶﺔ ﭐﻟ ﱠﺰ ْﻫﺮَﺍ ِﺀ‬
َ ‫ﻚ ﻳَﺎ ْﺑ‬
َ ‫ﻼ ُﻡ َﻋ ﹶﻠ ْﻴ‬
‫ﺴﹶ‬‫ﺍﹶﻟ ﱠ‬
lady.
Peace be upon you, O son alssal¡mu `alayka yabna
of Khad¢jah the grand lady. khad¢jata alkubr¡
ٰ‫ﻜ ْﺒ َﺮﻯ‬
‫ﺠ ﹶﺔ ﭐﹾﻟ ﹸ‬
َ ‫ﺧﺪِﻳـ‬
‫ﻦ ﹶ‬
َ ‫ﻚ ﻳَﺎ ْﺑ‬
َ ‫ﻼ ُﻡ َﻋ ﹶﻠ ْﻴ‬
‫ﺴﹶ‬‫ﺍﹶﻟ ﱠ‬
Peace be upon you, O alssal¡mu `alayka
vengeance of Allah, son of y¡ th¡ra all¡hi wabna ‫ﻦ ﺛﹶﺎ ﹺﺭ ِﻩ‬
َ ‫ﻚ ﻳَﺎ ﺛﹶﺎ َﺭ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ِﻪ ﻭَﭐْﺑ‬
َ ‫ﻼ ُﻡ َﻋ ﹶﻠ ْﻴ‬
‫ﺴﹶ‬‫ﺍﹶﻟ ﱠ‬
His vengeance, th¡rih¢
and the unavenged so far. walwitra almawt£ra ‫ﻭَﭐﹾﻟ ﹺﻮﹾﺗ َﺮ ﭐﹾﻟ َﻤ ْﻮﺗﹸﻮ َﺭ‬
I bear witness that you ashhadu annaka qad
performed the prayers, aqamta al¥¥al¡ta ‫ﻼ ﹶﺓ‬
‫ﺼﹶ‬‫ﺖ ﭐﻟ ﱠ‬
‫ﺪ ﺍ ﹶﻗ ْﻤ ﹶ‬
ْ ‫ﻚ ﹶﻗ‬
َ ‫ﺪ ﺍﱠﻧ‬
ُ ‫ﺷ َﻬ‬
‫ﺍﹾ‬
defrayed the poor-rate, wa ¡tayta alzzak¡ta ‫ﺖ ﭐﻟ ﱠﺰﻛﹶﺎ ﹶﺓ‬
‫ﻭَﺁﹶﺗ ْﻴ ﹶ‬
enjoined the right, wa amarta bilma`r£fi ‫ﻑ‬
ِ ‫ﺕ ﺑﹺﭑﹾﻟ َﻤ ْﻌﺮُﻭ‬
‫ﻭَﺍ َﻣ ْﺮ ﹶ‬
wa nahayta `an
forbade the wrong,
almunkari
‫ﻜ ﹺﺮ‬
‫ﻦ ﭐﹾﻟ ُﻤ ﹾﻨ ﹶ‬
‫ﺖ َﻋ ﹺ‬
‫َﻭﹶﻧ َﻬ ْﻴ ﹶ‬
and obeyed Allah and His wa a§a`ta all¡ha wa
Messenger until death came ras£lah£ ¦att¡ at¡ka ‫ﻙ‬
َ ‫ﺣ ﱠﺘﻰٰ ﺍﺗﹶﺎ‬
َ ‫ﺖ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ َﻪ َﻭ َﺭﺳُﻮﹶﻟ ُﻪ‬
‫ﻭَﺍ ﹶﻃ ْﻌ ﹶ‬
upon you. alyaq¢nu

ُ‫ﭐﹾﻟ َﻴﻘِﻴﻦ‬
So, may Allah curse the fala`ana all¡hu ummatan
people who slew you. qatalatka ‫ﻚ‬
َ ‫ﻦ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ُﻪ ﺍ ﱠﻣ ﹰﺔ ﹶﻗ ﹶﺘ ﹶﻠ ﹾﺘ‬
َ ‫ﹶﻓ ﹶﻠ َﻌ‬
May Allah curse the people wa la`ana all¡hu
who persecuted you. ummatan ¨alamatka ‫ﻚ‬
َ ‫ﻦ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ُﻪ ﺍ ﱠﻣ ﹰﺔ ﹶﻇ ﹶﻠ َﻤ ﹾﺘ‬
َ ‫َﻭﹶﻟ َﻌ‬
May Allah curse the people wa la`ana all¡hu ‫ﺖ‬
‫ﺿ َﻴ ﹾ‬
ِ ‫ﻚ ﹶﻓ َﺮ‬
َ ‫ﺖ ﹺﺑﺬِٰﻟ‬
‫ﺳ ِﻤ َﻌ ﹾ‬
َ ‫ﻦ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ُﻪ ﺍ ﱠﻣ ﹰﺔ‬
َ ‫َﻭﹶﻟ َﻌ‬
who were pleased when ummatan sami`at
they had heard of that. bidh¡lika fara¤iyat bih¢ ‫ﹺﺑ ِﻪ‬
O my Master, O Ab£- y¡ mawl¡ya
`Abdull¡h! y¡ ab¡ `abdill¡hi ‫ﺪ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ِﻪ‬
ِ ‫ﻱ ﻳَﺎ ﺍﺑَﺎ َﻋ ْﺒ‬
َ ‫ﻻ‬
‫ﻳَﺎ َﻣ ْﻮ ﹶ‬
I bear witness that you ashhadu annaka kunta ‫ﺏ‬
‫ﻼ ﹺ‬
‫ﺻﹶ‬‫ﺖ ﻧﹸﻮﺭﹰﺍ ﻓِﻲ ﭐﻻ ﹾ‬
‫ﻚ ﹸﻛ ﹾﻨ ﹶ‬
َ ‫ﺪ ﺍﱠﻧ‬
ُ ‫ﺷ َﻬ‬
‫ﺍﹾ‬
were light in the sublime n£ran f¢ al-a¥l¡bi
loins alshsh¡mikhati ‫ﺨ ِﺔ‬
‫ﭐﻟﺸﱠﺎ ِﻣ ﹶ‬
and purified wombs; wal-ar¦¡mi almu§ahharati ‫ﻄ ﱠﻬ َﺮ ِﺓ‬
‫ﻭَﭐﻻ ْﺭﺣَﺎ ﹺﻡ ﭐﹾﻟ ُﻤ ﹶ‬
the impurities of the
lam tunajjiska
Ignorance Era could not
alj¡hiliyyatu bi'anj¡sih¡ ‫ﺳﻬَﺎ‬
ِ ‫ﻚ ﭐﹾﻟﺠَﺎ ِﻫ ِﻠ ﱠﻴ ﹸﺔ ﺑﹺﺎﹾﻧﺠَﺎ‬
َ ‫ﺴ‬
ْ ‫ﺠ‬
‫ﻢ ﹸﺗ ﹶﻨ ﱢ‬
ْ ‫ﹶﻟ‬

murky clothes. mudlahimm¡ti thiy¡bih¡
‫ﺕ ِﺛﻴَﺎﹺﺑﻬَﺎ‬
ِ ‫ﺪﹶﻟ ﹺﻬﻤﱠﺎ‬
ْ ‫ﻦ ُﻣ‬
ْ ‫ﻚ ِﻣ‬
َ ‫ﺴ‬
ْ ‫ﻢ ﹸﺗ ﹾﻠ ﹺﺒ‬
ْ ‫َﻭﹶﻟ‬
I also bear witness that you
wa ashhadu annaka min
are one of the mainstays of
da`¡'imi aldd¢ni ‫ﻦ‬
‫ﻢ ﭐﻟﺪﱢﻳ ﹺ‬
‫ﻦ َﺩﻋَﺎِﺋ ﹺ‬
ْ ‫ﻚ ِﻣ‬
َ ‫ﺪ ﺍﱠﻧ‬
ُ ‫ﺷ َﻬ‬
‫ﻭَﺍ ﹾ‬
the religion
and the supports of the
faithful believers.

َ ‫ﻥ ﭐﹾﻟ ُﻤ ْﺆ ِﻣﻨﹺﻴ‬
ِ ‫ﻭَﺍ ْﺭﻛﹶﺎ‬
I also bear witness that you wa ashhadu annaka al-
are the God-fearing, pious, im¡mu albarru alttaqiyyu ‫ﻲ‬
‫ﻹﻣَﺎ ُﻡ ﭐﹾﻟ َﺒ ﱡﺮ ﭐﻟ ﱠﺘ ِﻘ ﱡ‬
ِ ‫ﻚﭐ‬
َ ‫ﺪ ﺍﱠﻧ‬
ُ ‫ﺷ َﻬ‬
‫ﻭَﺍ ﹾ‬
pleased, immaculate, alrra¤iyyu alzzakiyyu ‫ﻲ ﭐﻟ ﱠﺰ ِﻛﻲﱡ‬
‫ﺿ ﱡ‬
ِ ‫ﭐﻟ ﱠﺮ‬
guide, and well-guided
Imam.
alh¡d¢ almahdiyyu ‫ﺪﻱﱡ‬
ِ ‫ﭐﹾﻟﻬَﺎﺩِﻱ ﭐﹾﻟ َﻤ ْﻬ‬
And (I bear witness) that
the Imams from your
wa ashhadu anna al- ‫ﻙ ﹶﻛ ِﻠ َﻤ ﹸﺔ‬
َ ‫ﺪ‬
ِ ‫ﻦ ُﻭﹾﻟ‬
ْ ‫ﻥ ﭐﻻِﺋ ﱠﻤ ﹶﺔ ِﻣ‬
‫ﺪﺍ ﱠ‬
ُ ‫ﺷ َﻬ‬
‫ﻭَﺍ ﹾ‬
a'immata min wuldika
progeny are the spokesmen
of piety,
kalimatu alttaqw¡ ٰ‫ﭐﻟ ﱠﺘ ﹾﻘ َﻮﻯ‬
the signs of guidance, wa a`l¡mu alhud¡ ٰ‫ﺪﻯ‬
َ ‫ﻼ ُﻡ ﭐﹾﻟ ُﻬ‬
‫ﻭَﺍ ْﻋ ﹶ‬
the firmest handle (of
Islam),
wal`urwatu alwuthq¡ ٰ‫ﻭَﭐﹾﻟﻌُﺮ َﻭ ﹸﺓ ﭐﹾﻟ ُﻮﹾﺛ ﹶﻘﻰ‬
and the decisive Argument
wal¦ujjatu `al¡ ahli
against the inhabitants of
aldduny¡ ‫ﺪﹾﻧﻴَﺎ‬
‫ﻞ ﭐﻟ ﱡ‬
‫ﺠ ﹸﺔ َﻋ ﹶﻠﻰٰ ﺍ ْﻫ ﹺ‬
‫ﺤﱠ‬ُ ‫ﻭَﭐﹾﻟ‬
the world.
wa ushhidu all¡ha wa
And I call Allah, His angels,
mal¡'ikatah£ ‫ﻜ ﹶﺘ ُﻪ‬
‫ﻼِﺋ ﹶ‬
‫ﺪ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ َﻪ َﻭ َﻣ ﹶ‬
ُ ‫ﺷ ﹺﻬ‬
‫ﻭَﺍ ﹾ‬
His Prophets, and His wa anbiy¡'ah£ wa
Messenger rusulah£ ‫ﺳ ﹶﻠ ُﻪ‬
ُ ‫ﻭَﺍﹾﻧ ﹺﺒﻴَﺎ َﺀ ُﻩ َﻭ ُﺭ‬

ann¢ bikum mu'minun wa
believe in you all and in
bi'y¡bikum ‫ﻢ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬
‫ﻦ َﻭﹺﺑ ﹺﺈﻳَﺎﹺﺑ ﹸ‬
ٌ ‫ﻢ ُﻣ ْﺆ ِﻣ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬
‫ﺍﻧﱢﻲ ﹺﺑ ﹸ‬
your Return,
I have full confidence in the
m£qinun bishar¡'i`i d¢n¢
laws of my religion and in
wa khaw¡t¢mi `amal¢
‫ﻢ َﻋﻤَﻠﻲ‬
‫ﺧﻮَﺍﺗِﻴ ﹺ‬
‫ﻊ ﺩِﻳﻨﹺﻲ َﻭ ﹶ‬
‫ﺸﺮَﺍِﺋ ﹺ‬
‫ﻦ ﹺﺑ ﹶ‬
ٌ ‫ﻣُﻮ ِﻗ‬
the seals of my deeds,
my heart is at peace with
you all,
wa qalb¢ liqalbikum silmun ‫ﻢ‬
ٌ ‫ﺳ ﹾﻠ‬
ِ ‫ﻢ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬
‫َﻭ ﹶﻗ ﹾﻠﺒﹺﻲ ِﻟ ﹶﻘ ﹾﻠ ﹺﺒ ﹸ‬
and all my affairs are based wa amr¢ li'amrikum
on your commands. muttbi`un ‫ﻊ‬
ٌ ‫ﻢ ُﻣ ﱠﺘ ﹺﺒ‬
ْ ‫ﻭَﺍ ْﻣﺮﹺﻱ ﻻِ ْﻣ ﹺﺮ ﹸﻛ‬
May Allah’s benedictions be ¥alaw¡tu all¡hi `alaykum
on your souls, wa `al¡ arw¡¦ikum ‫ﻢ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬
‫ﺣﹸ‬
ِ ‫ﻢ َﻭ َﻋ ﹶﻠﻰٰ ﺍ ْﺭﻭَﺍ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬
‫ﺕ ﺍﻟ ﱠﻠ ِﻪ َﻋ ﹶﻠ ْﻴ ﹸ‬
‫ﺻ ﹶﻠﻮَﺍ ﹸ‬
‫ﹶ‬
wa `al¡ ajs¡dikum wa
your bodies, your forms,
`al¡ ajs¡mikum ‫ﻢ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬
‫ﺟﺴَﺎ ِﻣ ﹸ‬
ْ ‫ﻢ َﻭ َﻋ ﹶﻠﻰٰ ﺍ‬
ْ ‫ﺟﺴَﺎ ِﺩ ﹸﻛ‬
ْ ‫َﻭ َﻋ ﹶﻠﻰٰ ﺍ‬
the present and the absent wa `al¡ sh¡hidikum wa
from you, `al¡ gh¡'ibkum
‫ﻢ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬
‫ﻢ َﻭ َﻋ ﹶﻠﻰٰ ﻏﹶﺎِﺋ ﹺﺒ ﹸ‬
ْ ‫ﺪ ﹸﻛ‬
ِ ‫َﻭ َﻋ ﹶﻠﻰٰ ﺷﹶﺎ ِﻫ‬
and the apparent and the wa `al¡ ¨¡hirikum wa
invisible from you. `al¡ b¡§inikum
‫ﻢ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬
‫ﻢ َﻭ َﻋ ﹶﻠﻰٰ ﺑَﺎ ِﻃ ﹺﻨ ﹸ‬
ْ ‫َﻭ َﻋ ﹶﻠﻰٰ ﻇﹶﺎ ِﻫ ﹺﺮ ﹸﻛ‬

then, you may throw yourself on the tomb, kiss it, and say these words:

My father and mother be

bi'ab¢ anta wa umm¢ yabna
sacrificed for you, O son of
ras£li all¡hi ‫ﻝ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ِﻪ‬
‫ﻦ َﺭﺳُﻮ ﹺ‬
َ ‫ﺖ ﻭَﺍﻣﱢﻲ ﻳَﺎ ْﺑ‬
‫ﺑﹺﺎﺑﹺﻲ ﺍﹾﻧ ﹶ‬
the Messenger of Allah!
My father and mother be
bi'ab¢ anta wa umm¢ y¡ ab¡
sacrificed for you, O Aba
`abdill¡hi ‫ﺪ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ِﻪ‬
ِ ‫ﺖ ﻭَﺍﻣﱢﻲ ﻳَﺎ ﺍﺑَﺎ َﻋ ْﺒ‬
‫ﺑﹺﺎﺑﹺﻲ ﺍﹾﻧ ﹶ‬
`Abdullah!
Extremely terrible was the
calamity
laqad `a¨umat alrraziyyatu ‫ﺖ ﭐﻟ ﱠﺮ ﹺﺯﱠﻳ ﹸﺔ‬
ِ ‫ﻈ َﻤ‬
‫ﺪ َﻋ ﹸ‬
ْ ‫ﻟﹶ ﹶﻘ‬
and astounding is the
wa jallat almu¥¢batu bika
misfortune that you
`alayn¡
‫ﻚ َﻋ ﹶﻠ ْﻴﻨﹶﺎ‬
َ ‫ﺖ ﭐﹾﻟﻤُﺼﻴ َﺒ ﹸﺔ ﹺﺑ‬
ِ ‫ﺟ ﱠﻠ‬
َ ‫َﻭ‬
suffered upon us
and upon all the
wa `al¡ jam¢`i ahli
inhabitants of the heavens
alssam¡w¡ti wal-ar¤i ‫ﺽ‬
‫ﺕ ﻭَﭐﻻ ْﺭ ﹺ‬
ِ ‫ﺴﻤَﺎﻭَﺍ‬
‫ﻞ ﭐﻟ ﱠ‬
‫ﻊ ﺍ ْﻫ ﹺ‬
‫ﺟﻤِﻴ ﹺ‬
َ ٰ‫َﻭ َﻋ ﹶﻠﻰ‬
and the earth.

‫ﺟ ﹾ‬
َ ‫ﺳ َﺮ‬
ْ ‫ﻦ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ُﻪ ﺍ ﱠﻣ ﹰﺔ ﺍ‬
َ ‫ﹶﻓ ﹶﻠ َﻌ‬
horses,
and prepared themselves
to kill you.
wa tahayya'at liqit¡lika ‫ﻚ‬
َ ‫ﺕ ِﻟ ِﻘﺘﹶﺎِﻟ‬
‫َﻭﹶﺗ َﻬﻴﱠﺎ ﹾ‬
O my Master, O Aba y¡ mawl¡ya y¡ ab¡
`Abdullah! `abdill¡hi ‫ﺪ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ِﻪ‬
ِ ‫ﻱ ﻳَﺎ ﺍﺑَﺎ َﻋ ْﺒ‬
َ ‫ﻻ‬
‫ﻳَﺎ َﻣ ْﻮ ﹶ‬
I moved towards your
sanctuary
qa¥adtu ¦aramaka ‫ﻚ‬
َ ‫ﺣ َﺮ َﻣ‬
َ ‫ﺕ‬
‫ﺪ ﹸ‬
ْ‫ﺼ‬
‫ﹶﻗ ﹶ‬
and came to your shrine wa ataytu il¡ mashhadika ‫ﻙ‬
َ ‫ﺪ‬
ِ ‫ﺸ َﻬ‬
‫ﺖ ﹺﺇﹶﻟﻰٰ َﻣ ﹾ‬
‫ﻭَﺍﹶﺗ ْﻴ ﹸ‬
beseeching Allah in the
as'alu all¡ha bilshsha'ni
name of the standing that
alladh¢ laka `indah£ ‫ﺪ ُﻩ‬
َ ‫ﻚ ِﻋ ﹾﻨ‬
َ ‫ﻥ ﭐﱠﻟﺬِﻱ ﹶﻟ‬
ِ ‫ﻝ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ َﻪ ﺑﹺﭑﻟﺸﱠﺎ‬
‫ﺍﺳْﺎ ﹸ‬
you enjoy with Him

Mu¦ammad and on the mu¦ammadin wa ¡li ‫ﺪ‬
ٍ ‫ﺤ ﱠﻤ‬
َ ‫ﻝ ُﻣ‬
‫ﺪ ﻭَﺁ ﹺ‬
ٍ ‫ﺤ ﱠﻤ‬
َ ‫ﻲ َﻋ ﹶﻠﻰٰ ُﻣ‬
َ ‫ﺼ ﱢﻠ‬
‫ﻥ ُﻳ ﹶ‬

and to keep me with you

wa an yaj`alan¢ ma`akum f¢
‫ﺪﹾﻧﻴَﺎ‬
‫ﻢ ﻓِﻲ ﭐﻟ ﱡ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬
‫ﺠ َﻌ ﹶﻠﻨﹺﻲ َﻣ َﻌ ﹸ‬
ْ ‫ﻥ َﻳ‬
ْ ‫ﻭَﺍ‬
in this world and in the
aldduny¡ wal-¡khirati
Hereafter. ‫ﺧ َﺮ ِﺓ‬
ِ ‫ﻭَﭐﻵ‬

Then, move to the side of the Imam’s feet, stop at the place of the head of `Ali ibn al-
Husayn ('a) and say the following words:

Peace be upon you, O son of alssal¡mu `alayka

the Messenger of Allah. yabna ras£li all¡hi
‫ﻝ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ِﻪ‬
‫ﻦ َﺭﺳُﻮ ﹺ‬
َ ‫ﻚ ﻳَﺎ ْﺑ‬
َ ‫ﻼ ُﻡ َﻋ ﹶﻠ ْﻴ‬
‫ﺴﹶ‬‫ﺍﹶﻟ ﱠ‬
Peace be upon you, O son of alssal¡mu `alayka
the Prophet of Allah. yabna nabiyyi all¡hi
‫ﻲ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ِﻪ‬
‫ﻦ ﹶﻧ ﹺﺒ ﱢ‬
َ ‫ﻚ ﻳَﺎ ْﺑ‬
َ ‫ﻼ ُﻡ َﻋ ﹶﻠ ْﻴ‬
‫ﺴﹶ‬‫ﺍﹶﻟ ﱠ‬

the commander of the faithful.

‫ﻚ ﺍﱡﻳﻬَﺎ ﭐﻟ ﱠ‬
َ ‫ﻼ ُﻡ َﻋ ﹶﻠ ْﻴ‬
‫ﺴﹶ‬‫ﺍﹶﻟ ﱠ‬
Peace be upon you, O wronged alssal¡mu `alayka ‫ﻦ‬
ُ ‫ﻈﻠﹸﻮ ُﻡ ﻭَﭐْﺑ‬
‫ﻚ ﺍﱡﻳﻬَﺎ ﭐﹾﻟ َﻤ ﹾ‬
َ ‫ﻼ ُﻡ َﻋ ﹶﻠ ْﻴ‬
‫ﺴﹶ‬‫ﺍﹶﻟ ﱠ‬
and harassed and the son of ayyuh¡ alma¨l£mu
the wrong and harassed. wabnu alma¨l£mi ‫ﻈﻠﹸﻮ ﹺﻡ‬
‫ﭐﹾﻟ َﻤ ﹾ‬
Curse of Allah be on those who la`ana all¡hu
killed you. ummatan qatalatka ‫ﻚ‬
َ ‫ﻦ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ُﻪ ﺍ ﱠﻣ ﹰﺔ ﹶﻗ ﹶﺘ ﹶﻠ ﹾﺘ‬
َ ‫ﹶﻟ َﻌ‬
Curse of Allah be on those who wa la`ana all¡hu
persecuted you. ummatan ¨alamatka ‫ﻚ‬
َ ‫ﻦ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ُﻪ ﺍ ﱠﻣ ﹰﺔ ﹶﻇ ﹶﻠ َﻤ ﹾﺘ‬
َ ‫َﻭﹶﻟ َﻌ‬
Curse of Allah be on those who wa la`ana all¡hu ‫ﻚ‬
َ ‫ﺖ ﹺﺑﺬِٰﻟ‬
‫ﺳ ِﻤ َﻌ ﹾ‬
َ ‫ﻦ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ُﻪ ﺍ ﱠﻣ ﹰﺔ‬
َ ‫َﻭﹶﻟ َﻌ‬
heard this even but rested ummatan sami`at
satisfied. bidh¡lika fara¤iyat bih¢ ‫ﺖ ﹺﺑ ِﻪ‬
‫ﺿ ﹺﻴ ﹾ‬
‫ﹶﻓ َﺮ ﹶ‬

You should then throw yourself on the tomb, kiss it, and say the following words:

Peace be upon you, O intimate alssal¡mu `alayka y¡ ‫ﻦ‬

َ ‫ﻲ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ِﻪ ﻭَﭐْﺑ‬
‫ﻚ ﻳَﺎ َﻭِﻟ ﱠ‬
َ ‫ﻼ ُﻡ َﻋ ﹶﻠ ْﻴ‬
‫ﺴﹶ‬‫ﺍﹶﻟ ﱠ‬
servant of Allah and the son of waliyya all¡hi wabna
His intimate servant. waliyyih¢ ‫َﻭِﻟ ﱢﻴ ِﻪ‬
Extremely terrible was the laqad `a¨umat
calamity almu¥¢batu
‫ﺖ ﭐﹾﻟﻤُﺼﻴ َﺒ ﹸﺔ‬
ِ ‫ﻈ َﻤ‬
‫ﺪ َﻋ ﹸ‬
ْ ‫ﻟﹶ ﹶﻘ‬
and astounding is the
wa jallat alrraziyyatu
misfortune that you suffered,
bika `alayn¡
‫ﻚ َﻋ ﹶﻠ ْﻴﻨﹶﺎ‬
َ ‫ﺖ ﭐﻟ ﱠﺮ ﹺﺯﱠﻳ ﹸﺔ ﹺﺑ‬
ِ ‫ﺟ ﱠﻠ‬
َ ‫َﻭ‬
upon us

َ ٰ‫َﻭ َﻋ ﹶﻠﻰ‬
So, curse of Allah be on those fala`ana all¡hu
who killed you ummatan qatalatka ‫ﻚ‬
َ ‫ﻦ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ُﻪ ﺍ ﱠﻣ ﹰﺔ ﹶﻗ ﹶﺘ ﹶﻠ ﹾﺘ‬
َ ‫ﹶﻓ ﹶﻠ َﻌ‬
and I disavow them in the wa abra'u il¡ all¡hi wa
presence of Allah and You. ilayka minhum ‫ﻢ‬
ْ ‫ﻚ ِﻣ ﹾﻨ ُﻬ‬
َ ‫ﻭَﺍْﺑﺮَﺍ ﹺﺇﹶﻟﻰٰ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ِﻪ َﻭﹺﺇﹶﻟ ْﻴ‬

You should then leave from the door that is at the side of `Ali ibn al-Husayn’s feet,
direct towards the martyrs, and say the following words:

Peace be upon all of you, O
friends and dears of Allah.
Peace be upon all of you, O
choice of Allah and sincerely
attached to Him.
Peace be upon all of you, O
supporters of Allah’s religion.
Peace be upon all of you, O
supporters of the Messenger
of Allah.

an¥¡ra ras£li all¡hi ‫ﻝ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ِﻪ‬
‫ﻢ ﻳَﺎ ﺍﹾﻧﺼﹶﺎ َﺭ َﺭﺳُﻮ ﹺ‬

‫ﻼ ُﻡ َﻋ ﹶﻠ ْﻴ ﹸ‬

supporters of Abi Mhammad, an¥¡ra ab¢ mu¦ammadin ‫ﺪ‬
ٍ ‫ﺤ ﱠﻤ‬
َ ‫ﻢ ﻳَﺎ ﺍﹾﻧﺼﹶﺎ َﺭ ﺍﺑﹺﻲ ُﻣ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬
‫ﻼ ُﻡ َﻋ ﹶﻠ ْﻴ ﹸ‬
‫ﺴﹶ‬‫ﺍﹶﻟ ﱠ‬
al-Hasan the son of `Ali, the al¦asani ibni `aliyyin
saintly and sincere. alwaliyyi alnn¡¥i¦i

ِ ‫ﻲ ﭐﻟﻨﱠﺎ‬
‫ﻲ ﭐﹾﻟ َﻮِﻟ ﱢ‬

supporters of Aba-`Abdullah. an¥¡ra ab¢ `abdill¡hi ‫ﺪ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ِﻪ‬
ِ ‫ﻢ ﻳَﺎ ﺍﹾﻧﺼﹶﺎ َﺭ ﺍﺑﹺﻲ َﻋ ْﺒ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬
‫ﻼ ُﻡ َﻋ ﹶﻠ ْﻴ ﹸ‬
‫ﺴﹶ‬‫ﺍﹶﻟ ﱠ‬
My father and mother be
sacrificed for you.
bi'ab¢ antum wa umm¢ ‫ﻢ ﻭَﺍﻣﱢﻲ‬
ْ ‫ﺑﹺﺎﺑﹺﻲ ﺍﹾﻧ ﹸﺘ‬
Verily, pure be you and pure
§ibtum wa §¡bat al-ar¤u
‫ﺽ ﭐﱠﻟﺘِﻲ ﻓِﻴﻬَﺎ‬
‫ﺖ ﭐﻻ ْﺭ ﹸ‬
ِ ‫ﻢ َﻭﻃﹶﺎَﺑ‬
ْ ‫ِﻃ ْﺒ ﹸﺘ‬
be the soil in which you were
allat¢ f¢h¡ dufintum
buried. ‫ﻢ‬
ْ ‫ُﺩ ِﻓ ﹾﻨ ﹸﺘ‬
wa fuztum fawzan
You attained great success.

‫ﻢ ﹶﻓﻮْﺯﹰﺍ ﻋَﻈﻴﻤ ﹰﺎ‬
ْ ‫َﻭ ﹸﻓ ﹾﺰﹸﺗ‬
Would that I were with you fay¡laytan¢ kuntu
so that I could also share the ma`akum fa'af£za ‫ﻢ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬
‫ﻢ ﻓﹶﺎﻓﹸﻮ ﹶﺯ َﻣ َﻌ ﹸ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬
‫ﺖ َﻣ َﻌ ﹸ‬
‫ﹶﻓﻴَﺎ ﹶﻟ ْﻴ ﹶﺘﻨﹺﻲ ﹸﻛ ﹾﻨ ﹸ‬
accomplishment with you. ma`akum
