AN ORDER REORGANIZING THE BARANGAY DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL (BDC)

OF BARANGAY G BORONGAN CITY, EASTERN SAMAR, DESIGNATING ITS
COMPOSITION AND FUNCTIONS

WHEREAS, the local government Code of 1991 confers upon to the Barangay
Development Council as the primary planning unit in determining the over-all development in
the barangay;

WHEREAS, said law further outlines and defined the composition and function of the
said council;

WHEREAS, Sec. 111 (3) of the local government Code of 1991 confers upon to the
Executive Committee to represent the Barangay Development Council and act in its behalf when
it is not in session;

WHEREAS, said law further outlines and defined the composition and function of the
said Executive Committee and Secretariat;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Ma. Nirene E. Ramos, Punong Barangay of Barangay G,

City of Borongan, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law do hereby organize the Barangay
Development Council as follows:

Section 1. Composition. The Barangay Development Council (BDC) is hereby

organized to be constituted as follows:
A. BARANGAY DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL (BDC) pursuant to Section 107 (a) of
R.A. No. 7160 Composition
Chairperson: MA. NIRENE E. RAMOS Punong Barangay

Members: NHIL C. BENCITO SB Member

EMELITO M. APITA SB Member
JOHN RIC B. ESTROBO SB Member
KENN N. VILLANUEVA SB Member/ Committee Chair. In Appropriations

FUNCTIONS: Sec. 109 (b) of R.A. No. 7160

• Mobilize people participation in local development efforts;
• Prepare a barangay development plan base on legal requirements;
• Monitor and evaluate the implementation of national or local programs and
projects; and
• Perform such other functions as may be provided by law or competent authority.

B. BARANGAY DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL, EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

(EXECOM) pursuant to Section 111 (3) of R.A. No. 7160

FUNCTIONS: Sec. 111 (b) of R.A. No. 7160

• Ensure that the decisions of the Council are faithfully carried out and
implemented;
• Act on matters requiring immediate attention or action by the Council;
• Formulate policies, plans, and programs based on the general principles laid down
by the Council; and
• Act on other matters that may be authorized by the Council.

C. BARANGAY DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL SECRETARIAT pursuant to Sec.

113 of R.A. No. 7160
Composition:JANE A. HORCA Barangay Secretary

FUNCTIONS: Sec. 113 of R.A. No. 7160

• Shall be responsible for providing technical support, documentation of
proceedings, preparation of reports and such other assistance as may be required
in the discharged of its functions.

Section 2. Effectivity. This order shall take effects immediately.

Let copies hereof be furnished to all concerned for information, reference, and guidance.

Done in this 17th day of November, 2023 at Barangay G, City of Borongan, Province of
