MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

The person is responsible for the Plant Operations and for general management of all phases of plant
operations including: primary processing, production, engineering, maintenance and product warehousing.
Responsibilities also include recruiting, hiring and training personnel and facility/physical plant up-keep and
capital improvements. In addition the position he is responsible for annual budget planning and execution.
The position works closely with primary processing, production, engineering and maintenance teams to
increase productivity and profitability within the manufacturing operation of Lamit.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

KEY AREA ACTIVITIES MIS

Accountable for developing and defining the yearly budget, new


benchmarks and KPIs of the production and logistics department for the
Planning & achievement of the missions of the company as well as to improve the
Strategy effectiveness when comparing with the last year.
Development Responsible for developing the strategies for the new fiscal year
covering the manpower, promotions, technology additions, process
improvement etc. for increasing the capacity as well as utilization of the
total production and logistics facilities.
Responsible for planning one year production master schedule by
coordinating with the Sales Manager, Sr Manager Sales Admin, GM-
SBU and ED and make sure that the production department is equipped
enough to meet the sales targets defined by the management.
Responsible for analyzing the weakness and failures in the last year and
suggest the management to take corrective action on the basis of proper
study and research.

Responsible for commenting whether the logistic facility is matching


with the distribution plan of the company is appropriate for the service
also develop the solutions.
Responsible for ensuring that proper policies, procedures, systems and
control mechanisms are properly followed by the team for keeping the
discipline and standard of the company.
Responsible for the implementation and auditing of the policies,
procedures and systems suggested by the top management for improving
the total quality of the production department.
Responsible for the periodical visit in the units to ensure that the units
are keeping the defined benchmarks in the defined areas and in case of
any violation report the management
Ensure that the key benchmarks are in place and continuously work for
the improvement of the benchmarks to the next level.
Implementation Responsible for proper monitoring over the fleet to ensure the effective
and Monitoring utilization and to keep the department fully operational.
Responsible for monitoring yield rates and wastage to determine trends
and areas of improvement. Ensure that high level attention is given to
reduce the wastage and the low productivity of the department.
Monitor operation expenses and research ways to reduce costs by
properly monitoring the cash outflows and comparing with the budget
document of the company.
Responsible to control and monitor the working of quality department
for maximum output as well as recommendations for the improvement.
Accountable for ensuring that the quality of the products is always
above 99% of the benchmarks defined by the company.
Accountable for properly utilizing the quality department for doing
random auditing and research to improve the total quality of the
products and service of the department.
Responsible for keeping the quality in the commitment by delivering the
Quality order on time through proper planning of the dispatch and fleet
Management departments.
Accountable for the continuous improvement of the production process
and quality of the materials through research, process improvement and
industry by benchmarks.
Responsible for ensuring that proper quality measures are taken by the
team at the time of purchase to ensure the minimum purchase quality of
items.
Accountable for meeting the production target on the basis of the master
production schedule that developed at the beginning of every financial
Target year.

as a part of its value and vision.

Accountable for meeting the yield target for maximum effectiveness and
to ensure the profitability of the company.
Responsible for doing periodical performance review of the team on the
basis of the JD, KPIs defined for them. Ensure that the company is
maintaining only high quality manpower for its operations.
Responsible for conducting periodical review meeting with the team for
the development and nurturing of the team.
Review & Responsible for submitting periodical reports to the management as per
Reporting the JD and based on the instruction from the ED.
Responsible for building team through proper succession planning,
knowledge sharing and delegation.
Ensure that the team is happy with the working culture of the company
and if any issues are there coordinate with the HR department and make
sure that the issue is solved.
Accountable for the safety practices of the company by providing
compulsory safety training to the team as well as making the team in
taking safety activities at the right time.
Safety Accountable for taking immediate action whenever there is an incident
happens that affects the safety of the team.
Accountable for making the team accountable in the safety related areas
of the department.
Responsible for maintaining machines, vehicles and other assets with

SKILLS

Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications especially in Excel, knowledge of


planning software’s

Management skills: Analytical skills, Organization skills, Convincing and coaching skills, establishes
business objectives and translates business objectives into action plans and results, experience
leading and developing an effective Production team.

Communication skills: excellent communication skills, able to communicate effectively at all


levels of the organization, able to effectively resolve conflict situations, able to work collaboratively
with managers and staff.
