FINANCIAL FREEDOM
Additional phrases and Bible verses for your prayers are on the next page

LORD God, I exalt You and glorify Your name. I confess my sins and repent. Forgive my sins,
as I forgive those who have sinned against me. Bless me and stay near to me. Enlarge my
territory only for Your honor, glory and praise. With thanksgiving I pray for financial freedom.

It is written in Psalm 31:7-8: “I will be glad and rejoice in Your love, for You saw my affliction,
and knew the anguish of my soul. You have not handed me over to the enemy, but have set my
feet in a spacious place.” Thank You for seeing my affliction, Lord God, and for setting my
feet in a spacious place. Great is Your faithfulness. Your compassions are new every morning.
You are truly able.

“Whoever loves money never has money enough; whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with
his income.” Ecclesiastes 5:10 LORD God, help me understand what my basic needs are, and help
me be immune to worldly pressures to spend money for “wants” rather than “needs.” Help me
love You and my neighbor, not money or wealth.

“Now this is what the LORD Almighty says: ‘Give careful thought to your ways. You have planted
much, but have harvested little. You eat, but never have enough. You drink, but never have your
fill… You earn wages, only to put them in a purse with holes in it.’ ” Haggai 1:5-6 LORD God, help me
to give careful thought to my ways. Help me to harvest much, be satisfied with what I have, and
not put my money in credit card debt or any other debt that I can not truly afford, for that is putting
my money in a purse with holes in it. Help me to have the marvelous freedom that comes from not
craving things and not trying to impress others.

“But remember the LORD your God, for it is He who gives you the ability to produce wealth…”
Deuteronomy 8:18 Thank You, LORD my God, for giving me the ability to produce wealth.

It is written in Luke 3:14b: “…be content with your pay.” LORD God, help me be content in You
with my pay. I bind Satan from giving me pagan desires for things I can not afford and do not need.

“Do not be a man who strikes hands in pledge or puts up security for debts; if you lack the means
to pay, your very bed will be snatched from under you.” Proverbs 22:26-27 LORD God, help me to live
within my income, set priorities on my spending and be responsible in my financial transactions.
Because You welcomed me as Your child, help me to have such a sense of self-worth that I do not
need to spend money to gain self-esteem.

“One man gives freely, yet gains even more; another withholds unduly, but comes to poverty.”
Proverbs 11:24 Help me to give freely, LORD God, and bless me to gain even more. Make my giving
come from an attitude of gratitude and of joyous love in Jesus Christ.

These things I ask in the blessed name of Jesus, and await in patient, believing expectation. Amen

PRAYER FOR FINANCIAL FREEDOM 2

In Luke 12:22-24,30-31 Jesus said “…do not worry about your life, what you will eat, or about your
body, what you will wear…the ravens…do not sow or reap…yet God feeds them. And how much more
valuable you are than birds!….For the pagan world runs after all such things, and your Father knows
that you need them. But seek His kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well.” LORD God,
help me not run after worldly things as pagans do. Instead, help me seek Your kingdom and count my
many blessings with joy and thanksgiving.

“Dishonest money dwindles away, but he who gathers money little by little makes it grow.”
Proverbs 13:11 LORD God, help me gather money little by little and make it grow. Help me see money
with spiritual eyes.

“A good man leaves an inheritance for his children’s children, but a sinner’s wealth is stored up for
the righteous.” Proverbs 13:22 LORD God, help me to live focused on You. Help me leave an inheritance
for my children’s children. Help me seek Your will, know Your will and do Your will in all things.
Give me a pure heart and humble spirit. Help me not live in a house or drive an automobile I can’t
afford, and charge bills I can’t pay. Help me seek Your approval, not the approval of the world. Help
me think in terms of eternal values, not pagan values.

“Wisdom is a shelter as money is a shelter, but the advantage of knowledge is this: that wisdom
preserves the life of its possessor.” Ecclesiastes 7:12 LORD God, help me have wisdom to truly understand
the difference between “wants” and “needs,” preserving my life.

“For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered
from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.” 1 Timothy 6:10 LORD God, help me not to love
money or the things it buys. Help me keep the faith and receive Your joy and peace into my life.

Jesus said “But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and
where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
Matthew 6:20-21 LORD God, help me store up for myself treasures in heaven, that my heart will be there
also. Then I will be filled with Your peace, joy and love, releasing me from needing to spend money
to buy pagan earthly treasures beyond my basic needs.

According to Hebrews 13:5-6, “Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with
what you have, because God has said, ‘Never will I leave you, never will I forsake you.’ So we say
with confidence, ‘The LORD is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?’ ” Thank You,
LORD God, for keeping my life free from the love of money so I am content with what I have. Thank
You for never leaving me nor forsaking me. Because You are my helper, I will not be afraid. What
can man do to me? Thank You, Father God.

According to Philippians 4:6-7: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and
petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which passes all
understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” LORD God, I pray with
thanksgiving that You bless me with the peace that passes all understanding, and guard my heart and
mind in Christ Jesus.

These things I ask in the blessed name of Jesus, and await in patient, believing expectation. Amen
