Interchangeable LHB rakes for better yard fluidity & maintenance
• Patna (RNCC Depot + sister depots of DNR / ARA / RGD) maintains 40 LHB rakes
and runs 19 services.
• 13 Services in 21 rakes have same composition and are interchangeable.
• Others also across the Depots of ARA & RGD are on same composition + pantry.
• Other services also, except for special trains like Rajdhani Tejas, Humsafar, Jan-
sadharan, Jan-shatabdi & Suvidha are only on different composition.
As a result, 2 rakes have been saved and re-scheduling of long-distance trains
even in fog is net ZERO.
YARD shunting & pilot movements are reduced by 34% overall.
