Exercise Area East Jurong Channel (Singapore)

Equipment Needed Approved Radar-ARPA Simulator/ECDIS Simulator/FMBS

The practical exercise shall be carried out and shall be performed individually in
an approved simulator. The student must demonstrate the required exercise
outcome according to performance standard within time prescribed.
Condition
To demonstrate the required outcome, the student must be able to perform the
criteria set out.

Expected traffic:
Two inbound ships, one coming out from Sultan Shoal anchorage, one from sea
which just picked up the pilot inbound,one container ship is outbound; one
inbound from the south and the other (5) ships in the area with unknown
destination.

1. Check if the Instructor’s station is connected to all ship stations.


2. Load the scenario and check Initial Conditions.
3. Set Throttle as per initial condition.
4. Distribute student’s copy. Conduct briefing & preparation, questions will not
be entertained once the exercise scenario starts.
5. Assign the cadets to their designated Ship Bridge station.
