Learning for Success (LFSW 099)

Besides positive habits, where can I learn more strategies to help me be successful at UCW?
All new students are automatically enrolled in the Learning for Success program.
This is a complimentary service provided by UCW for all new students. This means it does not impact
your student fees.

- Mandatory for all new students

- 4-week, non-credit course
- Course code: LFSW 099 (ONS-SPRING-##)
- Covers tools and strategies that will support you during your studies at UCW
- We discuss time-management and organizational strategies, reviewing class content such as the
class Syllabus, Rubrics and Instructions, Stages of Writing, Using credible sources and APA
(American Psychological Association) citation, and more!

How do I know if I am enrolled in Learning for Success?

All new students are automatically enrolled in LFSW 099.
Students can see the LFSW 099 course under MY COURSES on the Student Portal.

How can I enroll in Learning for Success if I do not see LFSW under MY COURSES?
If you do not see LFSW 099 in your course list, please contact the Registrar’s Office
(ucw.registrar@myucwest.ca) to be enrolled.

How can I access my Learning for Success course on the first day of classes?
Students can go to their LFSW 099 course page. The schedule and link will be available under “Course
Overview & Syllabus.”
