Subject: Conduct of 5th Tamilnadu State Youth (U/18, 20 & 23

Years) Athletic Championship – 2024 by Tamilnadu Athletic
Association at Tamilnadu Sports University (TNPESU),
Vandalur, Chennai – on 18th & 19th May 2024 participation of
District Units – Intimation – reg.

The 5th Tamilnadu State Youth (U/18, 20 & 23 Years) Athletic
Championship – 2023 will be hosted by Tamilnadu Athletic
Association on 18th & 19th May, 2024 at Tamilnadu Sports
University (TNPESU), Vandalur, Chennai. The list of events for
U/18, U/20 and U/23 categories are enclosed.

Date of Birth:

The Junior and Senior below 23 years, 20 years and 18 years

of age in boys and girls, Men and Women can be
participate in this Athletic Meet.

1. Boys & Girls Under 23 years - born between 18.06.2001 &

17.06.2004
2. Boys & Girls Under 20 years - born between 18.06.2004 &
17.06.2006
3. Boys & Girls Under 18 years - born between 18.06.2006 &
17.06.2008
Athletes below the age of 16 years are not eligible to
participate.

The age verification committee of Tamilnadu Athletic

Association is empowered to disqualify any athletes if
found necessary. The date of birth of all the participants
should be mentioned in the entry form without fail.

The following certificate will be accepted as proof for

biometric id card.
(A) Original X Standard Certificate issued by central / State
Board in case of Athletes who have passed X standard
Examination.
(B) Original Birth Certificate from Municipal / Corporation
and School leaving certificate in case of Athletes who have
not passed X standard examination.
(C) Original Birth Certificate from Municipal / Corporation
in case of Athletes who have not gone for School at all.

2. Events:
An Athlete can participate in two individual events and
one Relay only.
Latest A.F.I. rules will be followed.
Entries must be prepared on computer in prescribed Excel
format. Entry must be filled in Capital Letters with UID
numbers and all its columns must be completed. In any
circumstances, without UID number and hand written entry
will not be accepted.
 An Unit can enter four number of Athletes in the
events. The Points / Medals will be awarded for best two
only. The unattached Athletes will not be permitted to take
part in Relays for any unit.

There will be heats, semifinals and finals for below
100mts, 100mts and 110mts Hurdles. All other events will
have heats and finals.
The TNAA organizer reserve the rights of admission
to the venue and lodging.
Organizing committee will finalize the entries and the same
will be available in TNAA website
http://tnathleticassociation.com 3 days before the
competition.
The entry fee will be Rs.300/- per event is applicable to
both unattached and clubs. In addition club, school,
departments and any other team, entry fee will be Rs.
2000/-. The Entry fee should be paid well in advance along
with entry by Cheque or DD payable at Chennai in favour
of Tamilnadu Athletic Association

3. Last Date of Entry:

The last date for receipt of entries is 14th May, 2024.

Late entry fee Rs. 750/- per event. However, any deletion /
change of entry may be made up to 15th May, 2024.
4. Managers Meeting:
Managers meeting will be held on 17.05.2024 at 5.00 pm
and the Chest numbers will be issued at the meeting.
5. Team Championships:
Overall Boys Winners, Overall Girls Winners and
Overall Winners, 1st Runners Up and 2nd Runners Up. First,
Second & Third place winners will be given Medals &
Certificates. Championships will be decided on points only.
6. Accommodation:

Accommodation will not be providing by the

organizer. Participants have to make their own
arrangement.

7. National Competition:

The Tamilnadu youth (U-18Years) team will be

selected for the 19th National Youth Athletics
Championships to be held at Chhatisgarh from 15th to 17th
June, 2024.
You are requested to adhere to the above guidelines while
sending entry of your Athletes. Expecting the fullest
cooperation for the successful conduct of this
Championship.

Note:
1. The Maximum number of events that an athlete can
compete in is two individual events plus the relay.

1. If the two individual events are track events, only one

of these two individual races may be longer than 200m.
in U18 group.
