Task 1. Motivational Quotation:

Discuss the lesson about intensive and reflexive pronoun.
PRONOUN - a word that replaces the noun.
 Reflexive Pronoun – reflects or refers back to the subject
Noun + Pronoun + Verb
Example: Della saw herself in the mirror.
 Intensive Pronoun – intensifies or emphasize the noun or pronoun used in
the sentence.
Noun + Pronoun + Verb
Example: Jim himself gave the comb as a present for his wife.

D. Application
Exercise: Tell whether the italicized pronoun is INTENSIVE or REFLEXIVE. On
the blank space before the number write I for intensive and R for reflexive.

 A reflexive pronoun refers back to the subject in the sentence. It is
necessary in order for the sentence to make sense.
 A intensive pronoun emphasize a noun or pronoun in the sentence. It is not
necessary for the sentence to make sense.
