LESSON: Easy Phonics level 1 Letter Bb

CIRCLE TIME:

a. Greetings: Hi everyone, Happy Monday.


b. Systems Check: Is my sound okay?
c. Self-introduction: I’m teacher Anna and I am your English teacher.
d. Building Rapport: Everyone let’s say hi to each other! Hi!
(How are you today? How’s the weather today?)
e. Motivational Activity: Sing a song, do a simple exercise

TITLE:

Note: The teacher will introduce the Book Level.


Transition: Let’s study Easy Phonics level 1.

LETTER:

Note: The teacher will ask the students if they know the letter. Guide them if needed.
Transition: What letter is this? Tarahe, “It is letter Bb.”

SOUND:

Note: The teacher will guide the students to practice the sound.
Transition: Now let's practice the sound of Bb.
Look at teacher's mouth, tarahe Buh, Buh, Buh.

Application:
What is the sound of Bb? (Teacher will sing)
Buh, Buh, Buh. (The student’s will say)
That's good!
LET’S WRITE:

Note: Let the student write the letter in their book or on a piece of paper.
Transition: Now, let’s write the big letter Bb and Small letter Bb. Great job!

Application:
Let’s write big and small letter Bb in the air
(Where’s your pointing finger?)
WORDS TO PRACTICE:

Note: The teacher will guide the student to read the words.
Transition: Now everyone, let’s learn the words.
Tarahe, Repeat after teacher, Buh, Buh, Bear…
1st reading: with teacher’s guidance

Note: Let the student read and guide if needed. (Box the English and Korean word.)
Transition: Now it’s your turn to read.
2nd reading: without teacher’s help

TALK AND CIRCLE:

Note: The teacher will do listen and repeat approach.


Transition: Let's do Talk and circle.
(Teacher’s part: Everybody tarahe “repeat after teacher”, buh, buh, BALL (Circle the words)

Note: Let the student read the words and circle the correct picture.
Transition: Everyone, please read, “Ball, bear, bee… (Student’s part)

WHAT’S THIS?

Note: Circle the picture and ask the student one by one.
Transition: Now let's move on and do this activity. What's this? [Box the picture]
Good job! It’s a bear. (Guide them to read if needed)

Bb or not Bb:

Note: Let the students identify if the picture start with letter Bb.
Transition: This time let's have your B or not B (use gestures)
Everyone look at the picture. Is it B or not b? What's this?

Note: Circle the picture then write Bb on the space provided.

LET’S CHANT:

Note: The teacher will do listen and repeat approach.


Transition: Alright good job everyone! This time let's chant along.
