Qualification:

1. The pageant is open to all ladies aged 16-18 years old, single (has neither been married nor has given birth) and
a resident of Jovellar or truly Jovellarian by blood or affinity.
2. She must not have been a runner-up candidate of the preceding year or who won the title of any Barangay
Jovellar pageant in the past. Non-winning candidates of Anyag Kang Jovellar or any Barangay Jovellar pageant
may join again.
3. She must be of good moral character and reputation (had not been engaged in any pornographic show, videos,
or pictorials).
4. She should pose physical beauty and with a height of at least 5’ feet.
5. She must be communicative and well-versed.
6. She should fill out the official entry form duly signed and submit it to the Barangay Jovellar Session Hall.

Rules and Regulation

1. The Anyag kang Jovellar is open to all Igbarasnon but will limit the number of Candidates to 10 for the Final
Night.
2. Each candidate should assign one (1) official chaperon/handler and one (1) make-up artist..
3. The candidate should strictly abide by the schedule of activities and itinerary of the pageant.
4. Only the official chaperon/handler is allowed during rehearsals and other activities such as courtesy calls,
pictorials, fitting and the like.
5. Attendance and punctuality of candidates will be strictly enforced.
6. The candidate must abide by the dress code prescribed by the organizer based on the schedule of activities.
7. All cellular phones of the candidate must be in the custody of their chaperon during pageant activities.
8. Candidates must observe good manners and right conduct, and proper hygiene at all times.
9. It shall be the responsibility of the candidates to maintain good physical fitness all the time.
10. The organizer shall only deal with the official chaperon in all matters during the duration of the event in his/her
capability as the assigned guardian of the candidates.
11. The organizer reserves the right to reject and or expel any candidate from the pageant on the basis of non-
compliance with the approved rules and regulations set by the organizing committee and shall refund any
amount given to her by the sponsored agency or organizing committee.
12. Any obscene language, profanity or swearing is not allowed (for both candidate and her chaperon or assistant)
especially at backstage or off the stage.
13. The candidate’s hair and make-up should be ready one hour prior to the official function.
14. Candidates must strictly follow the call time. The candidate’s tardiness will not be tolerated.
15. Safety protocols will be monitored actively.
16. Changes in the Regulations and other updates should be documented and delivered on our Official AKJ 24

Pageant Requirements and Guidelines:

1. Production Number
During the production number, Candidates shall be worn a costume provided by the organizers.

2. Casual Wear
Candidates will be wearing a casual attires sponsored by a fashion designer. No alterations, modification or
revision of attire. Whom who will not abide this rule will not be qualified for the award on this category.

3. Green and White Collection


Candidates are advised to prepare the green and white collection of their own choice during the competition.
The dominant colors on their attire should be Green and White.

4. Playsuit
During the Coronation Night, the organizers will prepare and provide their playsuit. No Alteration and whom
who will not abide this rule will be deducted 10 points of their total score on this category.

5. Talent
The talent competition shall be held during the preliminary night. Candidates are highly encouraged to prepare
and present their unique talent for a minimum of 3 minutes and a maximum of 5 minutes (Time should be
highly- monitored). Talent selection and performance distinguish the contestant’s personality and skills,
interpretive ability, quality of the talent presented, stage presence, technical skill level (execution, technique,
synchronization, control), and the totality of all elements (including costume, props, music, voice, and
choreography). Explicit and political-related performances are strongly discouraged. We highly encouraged
candidates to avoid unsafe stunts such as the use of flame, gas, water and any other harmful objects or
substance. Maximum of two (2) back-ups are allowed.

6. Make-up
Candidates should be able to do personal make-up or provide their own one (1) make-up artist and one (1) hair
stylist.

7. Photo shoot
We will have one official photographer for the entire pageant event. We will have 1 Indoor photoshoot.

8. Pageant Evening Gown


Candidates are advised to prepare the pageant gown of their own choice during the competition. Evening gown
should be inspired of shiny fabric elegant gown.

9. Interview portion
There will be a one set of interview round. Each candidate shall be given pointers on the questions to be asked
during the coronation night - interview portion. Questions are in the form of English Language, however, the
candidates are free to respond to the questions given in any dialect, that can be understood by the people. The
candidates are advised to give a brief and concise answer to the question; greetings and other unnecessary
statements are discouraged.
