What do the Numberblocks love more
than counting? Counting with friends,
of course! Work with children to build
Numberblocks One to Ten in any pose
using the Clings. Next, pick a Numberblock
and tell children they must find that
number of objects to bring back to their
Clings. For example, children can
bring 9 crayons back to Nine.
Ask: How do you know that you have
Nine? How many crayons do you
have altogether? Encourage children
to touch and count each Cling block,
then touch and count each object they
collected to reinforce how the groups
are equal.
