JRC ECDIS TYPE SPECIFIC FAMILIARISATION Checklist

Please use the manufacturer's approved familiarization ECDIS training software for the ·
training for JRC Models JAN-7201 I 9201 . Also you may read the HELP file, JRC Operators
Handbook (available in pdf) or refer to the Operators manual hard copy which is kept on the
tabJ~.
Please refer to the EXERCISES Booklet and perform the various EXERCISES which will
enable you to be familiarized with all the features of the JRC ECOIS models mentioned
above. ·

After completion, please go through this familiarization checklist.

Kindly 'tick' off in the right hand column, each task when successfully completed by you . Once you
have completed all the tasks, you would be satisfactorily familiarized with the ECDIS type which you
will be usin!_J onboard the next ship you will be joining.

On completion of each Section, please contad Course faculty for any difficulty or queries, as
assessment of your grasp of the functions within that section.

On completion of all sections, please inform the Course Faculty to carry out an assessment to
~au9e your proficiency in the use of the JRC ECDIS. ·
