Note: it is the responsibility to the person submitting a bid to record the eight-digit job number exactly as it appears on the posting. The
Employee ID must be included on the card in place of Social Security Number. Failure to do so will result in disqualification for the intended
job. Bids not postmarked and received in a timely manner will not be honored. Failure to sign the bid card will also result in disqualification.
Bid cards signed by someone other than the bidder (i.e. union stewards) are not valid. Letter carriers temporarily detailed to a supervisory
position (204b) may not bid on vacant assignments while so detailed. Bids must be placed, changes or cancelled by 12:00 midnight on or
before the closing date of the posting. On the date after this posting close, the manager faxes the bid cards to eFax 650-578-3317, or fax
