PROJECT MANAGER

INFORMATION TRANSPORT SYSTEMS CABLING (ITS)

Plan Group is currently looking for a seasoned ITS Communications professional to take on a lead role as
Project Manager.

As a Project Manager, ITS you will be accountable for two main functions Estimating and Project
Management reporting to the Director, ITS. You will leverage your technical knowledge and hands-on
experience to partner with the project Estimator to develop competitive bids. If you can build it, you can
bid it! So it is critical that you are involved in the preconstruction process to provide insight and advanced
project planning.

From there you will be accounting to manage projects ranging in size from $500.00 to $10,000,000.0 to
ensure that the project is completed on-schedule and within budget.

To truly excel in this role you have the ability to develop solid relationships and effectively communicate
with both internal and external clients to positively influence others and drive for results.

You are comfortable working in a fast paced environment, can proactively multi-task and manage multiple
priorities. You exhibit strong leadership skills and the ability to make timely decisions to achieve desired
results.

As a Project Manager, ITS you will be asked to do the following:

 Effectively manage Plan Group’s project management procedures from initial pursuit of job to
conclusion (Estimate reviews, purchasing requests, labour planning, material planning, financial
reporting, change orders, as-built drawings, close out documents, etc.).
 Regularly review and interpret project financials to create an accurate monthly project forecast.
 Accurately maintain and appropriately alter project schedules where necessary to ensure project
targets are achieved (Project budget, deadlines, etc.).
 Frequently communicate with site employees, general contractors, clients, and other relevant
parties to effectively convey pertinent information regarding current projects.
 Coordinate with Estimator and to effectively develop competitive tender documents.

QUALIFICATIONS

 You have a combination of related post-secondary education and minimum three (3) years of
Project Management experience within the Telecom, electrical, construction, or related industry
 You are proficient in Microsoft Office and project management applications; experience with
Jonas a definite asset.
 You have experience with Accubid and Accubid Change Order (preferred)
 Electrical Certificate of Qualification (309A), Network Cabling Specialist Certificate of Qualification
(631A), current manufacturer Fiber Optic and Copper certificates and/ or RCDD considered an
asset
