WHAT IS HUMAN RIGHTS (TIAN)

individual simply by virtue of being human. They encompass principles of dignity, fairness,
and equality. These rights are crucial in society as they provide a moral and legal
framework that ensures respect, protection, and fairness for all, irrespective of differences
such as nationality, ethnicity, or gender. Human rights are essential for promoting social
justice, preventing abuse, and fostering a more equitable and harmonious world.

War II prompted the formation of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in 1948,
marking a pivotal moment in the modern international framework for human rights, as well
as the establishment of international bodies like the United Nations, which continue to
shape and protect human rights globally today.

INTERNATIONAL HUMAN RIGHTS ORGANIZATIONS (MARC)

monitors human rights violations across nations. Through agencies like the UN Human
Rights Council and treaties such as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, it promotes

human rights are respected and protected on a global scale.
