TECHNOLOGY DEGREE FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2022/2023

COMMON APTITUDE TEST FOR THE SELECTION OF CANDIDATES FOR THE

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DEGREE
PROGRAMME AT THE RAJARATA UNIVERSITY OF SRI LANKA AND THE
UNIVERSITY OF VAVUNIYA

The University Grant Commission (UGC) has decided to hold the Common Aptitude Test for
admission of students for the study programme leading to the Bachelor of Science in Information
Technology (IT). Accordingly, those who sit and pass the above test will be considered for admission
to the Rajarata University of Sri Lanka or the University of Vavuniya.

Please note that the aptitude Test will be held at the following Examination centers in
English medium only.

02 Vavuniya
03 Jaffna
04 Kurunegala
05 Kandy
06 Colombo
07 Badulla
08 Matara
09 Batticaloa

ELIGIBILITY FOR THE APTITUDE TEST

The minimum requirements for the aptitude Test and University Admissions are specified
under section 2.2.8.28 (course code 038) of the Hand Book on “Admission to the
Undergraduate courses of the Universities in Sri Lanka Academic Year 2022/2023” issued by
the University Grants Commission (page 99 and 100).

PROCEDURE FOR APPLICATIONS

1. Applicants are requested to submit their application for the aptitude test via following
Google form link on or before 22nd September 2023.

2. Applicants are requested to make payment of Aptitude Test fee of Rs. 1500/- any of
the following Banks and Account Nos.

Bank Account No.

i. People’s Bank - 008-1-001-8-1725841 (Anuradhapura)
ii. Bank of Ceylon - 86017144 (Mihintale)
Please note that the applicants’ scanned copy of the cash –paying-in slip has to be
attached along with the application.
 3. Applicants are requested to attach the following certified copies.

i. G.C.E. Advanced Level Certificate

ii. G.C.E. Ordinary Level Certificate
iii. National Identity Card
Certificates should be certified by the School Principal or a Justice of Peace and
should be placed official stamp and scanned copy to be attached along with
application.

Notes
i. If any difference exists in the name indicated in the application and certificates, an
affidavit should be submitted to confirm that they relate to one and the same
person.

ii. The Admission Cards would be issued to candidates who have satisfied the
necessary admission requirements for the Aptitude Test.

iii. Applications will be rejected if:

a) Candidate does not possess the minimum admission requirements for the
Aptitude Test.

b) Application is not accompanied by a bank cash paying-in-slip and duly

certified copies of the G.C.E. O/L certificates, G.C.E. A/L certificates and the
NIC or Passport;

c) Incomplete applications ;

d) Application is received after the closing date;

In such instances, the payments made by the candidates will not be refunded under any
circumstances.

15th October 2023 (2.00 p.m – 4.00 p.m)
(if there are any changes in the date of examination candidate will be notified.)
