3, 3x2 – 2x, and 4x + 2.
Write the simplest expression.

5x2 + 3, 3x2 – 2x and 4x + 2.

Step 2: The simplest expression of triangular board is formed by combining like terms.

Step 3: = 5x2 + 3x2 - 2x + 4x + 3 + 2


= 8x2 + 2x + 5

Step 4: Answer: 8x2 + 2x + 5

cost of one pin. Write an expression for the total cost of 25 chains and 15 pins.

5. The sides of a triangular plate are represented by the expressions 2x2 +4, 8x2 –
2x, and 3x + 6. Write the simplest expression.

6. In a skating contest, John gives Mark a 60 meter head start. After t seconds,
Mark is a distance 6t + 60 from the starting line and John is a distance of 7t from
the starting line. How far ahead of John is Mark after t seconds?
