Sub: Islamic Studies
Surah Al-Ikhlas with meaning.
* Bismillaahir- Ra‘hmaanir- Ra‘heem.
1. Qul huwallaahu A‘had.
2. Allaahus - Samad.
3. Lam yalid; walam yuoolad.
4. Walam yakullahoo kufuwan A‘had.
Meaning:
* In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
1. Say, He is Allah, the One and Only.
2. Allah, the Eternal, the Absolute.
3. None is born of Him nor is He born.
4. And there is none like Him.

Q. How many Ayats (verses) are there in Surah Al-Ikhlas?


Ans. There are four Ayats (verses) in Surah Al-Ikhlas.

Al-Asma’ul Husna:

1. Al-Quddoosu – The Holy

2. As-Salaamu – The Source of Peace

3. Al-Muhaiminu – The Protector

Kalima Shahadat: [Pg.17]


Ash-hadu al-laa ilaaha illallaahu,
wa‘h-dahoo, laa shareeka lahoo,
wa ash-hadu anna Mu‘hammadan
‘ab-duhoo wa Rasooluh.

Meaning:
I bear witness that there is no god except Allah.
He is One. He has no partner.
And I also bear witness that Hazrat Muhammad (S A W)
is His servant (worshipper) and Rasul (messenger).

Salat (Namaz) : [Pg.19-20]

Q.1. How many times do we pray Salat (Namaz) a day? Name them.
Ans. We pray Salat (Namaz) five times a day. They are:
(i) Fajr
(ii) Zuhr
(iii) ‘Asr
(iv) Maghrib
(v) ‘Isha

Q.2. Write the timings of Salat (Namaz) for five times a day.
Ans. The timings of Salat (Namaz) are:
(i) Fajr: at dawn until sunrise.
(ii) Zuhr: after mid-day until late afternoon.
(iii) ‘Asr: in late afternoon until sunset.
(iv) Maghrib: after sunset until it is dark.
(v) ‘Isha: at night until mid-night or before dawn.

Rules of Salat / Some Important Du‘as of Salat (Namaz): [Pg.21-24]


(i) Takbir-e-Tahrima: Allaahu Akbar
Meaning : Allah is the Greatest
(ii) Sana: Sub‘haanakallaahumma,
wa bi‘hamdika,
wa tabaara kasmuka,
wa ta‘aalaa jadduka,
wa laa ilaaha ghairuka.

(iii) Aa‘uzubillah: Aa‘uzu billaahi minash-shaitaanir rajeem.


(iv) Bismillah: Bismillaahir-Ra‘hmaanir-Ra‘heem.
(v) Tasbih of Ruku: Sub‘haana Rabbiyal ‘azeem.
Meaning : Glory to my Lord, the Great.
(vi) Tasmi: Sami‘allaahu liman ‘hamidah.
Meaning : Allah hears those who praise Him.
(vii) Tahmid: Rabbanaa lakal ‘hamd.
Meaning : Our Lord, praise be to You.

Ans. The works that show kindness and humanity of a man is called Akhlaq.

Ans. The Prophet (S A W) said that a child’s heaven is under the feet of his /her mother.
