Introduction

In patient education, the nurse responsibility to teach as many family members as


possible. A decision should be made by the family to decide who is the appropriate
person to assume responsibility as caregiver usually members of the family.

requisite in establishing patient education strategies, to enable members of
the team to trust the professional expertise of the other members.

communication, and cooperation to better serve their patient’s needs.

Summary
Role of the family members in health education is one of the variables in
providing positive patient care. The role of the family caregiver is essential to
