SPEECH
SPEECH
First and foremost, I would like to greet all the graduates a “Congratulations for your
milestone achievement!” Your dedication and sacrifices has finally paid off!
I would also like to congratulate our proud parents for being supportive to their
children, their achievement is also your achievement, they will not achieve this
milestone without your sacrifices and support. Of course, we should also give credit to
our teachers for being patient and devoting their time, knowledge, and efforts just to
make sure that you get the quality education that you deserve, none of this would be
possible if they don’t guide and teach you.
I was actually nervous when I was told I’m invited here in this joyous event as a guest
speaker because this is my first time talking in front of a big crowd, but I felt so honored
and grateful that I’ve been selected as one of the speakers because I will have the
opportunity to share some of my experience with you to inspire and encourage you to
work hard and always fight for your dreams.
Fast forward to when I entered college, luckily for me, pinaaral ako ng tito ko, even
though pinapili ako kung ano gusto kung kunin na course, I stick to my 1 st choice which
is maestra dahil sa totoo lang natakot ako mag take the risk sa other course and I
lowkey like my course kahit na mahirap though karamihan sinasabi na madali lang ang
kursong education but I tell you walang madaling kurso.
Hindi naging madali sa akin ang pag-aaral dahil na din sa pressure at expectations,
natatakot ako na ma disappoint ko yung tito ko at parents ko because honestly hindi
naman ako yung estudyante na sobrang talino pero masipag naman ako. Siguro I’m
more on the go with the flow lang na estudyante, pero hindi ito naging hadlang at mas
pinagbutihan ko pa ang pag-aaral, I always make sure na malaki yung grades ko, na
masasatisfy yung tito at parents ko, I take it as a challenge that I need to conquer para
marating ko kung ano ang natapos ko ngayon, ang masuklian ang pagpapaaral saakin
at suporta ng pamilya ko ang naging motivation ko para lumaban at ma survive ang
pagiging estudyante.
By the way I graduated last year June 2023 in my course Bachelor of Secondary
Education Major in English as a Cum Laude and passed the licensure examination for
teachers given last September 2023. This is not to brag or maghinambog but it is to
inspire you that kung gusto natin marating ang ating pangarap, ito ay makakamtan
basta may determinasyon at tiwala tayo sa ating sarili, dahil tulad ko kung nagawa kong
makapagtapos ay magagawa nyo din. Always trust Allah, because I believe that if
there’s a will, there’s a way. Kung gusto natin may paraan, nasasaatin nalang kung
gagawin natin.
Before I end this speech, I want to tell you this quote by Collin Powell, “A dream doesn’t
become reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination and hard work.” Again, this
is Yasmen P. Mamarinta, it’s an honor to be here in this joyous event. Once again,
CONGRATULATIONS GRADUATES OF 2024!
