These lesson plans and resources were initially developed by the Gauteng Department of Education as part of the
Gauteng Primary Literacy and Mathematics Strategy. They are being used in KwaZulu-Natal under a memorandum
of agreement between the two provinces. They have been revised for the context of KwaZulu-Natal on the advice of
district and provincial officials.
